Another Moron Truck Driver Comes To Worcester And Gets Stuck Under Cambridge Street Bridge

Does this picture look familiar?10689825_897452956949108_2150368654303629925_n

Because it pretty much happens every other God damn day on Cambridge Street in Worcester. And God willing it will never, ever stop. Because I don’t know about you all, but I think this is absolutely fucking HILARIOUS. Seriously, is there anything funnier than a truck getting stuck under a bridge? And it’s always some moron from Jersey too. Instead of paying attention to the the fact that he’s about to go under something he clearly he can’t get through, he’s doing whatever the GPS is telling him to do. This same exact thing happened to Michael G. Scott, and it also had hilarious consequences:

I mean, who do these truckers work for? Because if I’m running a company, and I’m sending an important truck full of pornography to Gallo Video, then I’m probably gonna tell my idiot driver to stay the hell away from this bridge. It really doesn’t take much research to find out that every single truck that goes through there is almost guaranteed to get stuck in this truck trap.

Here’s my question – why are trucks still allowed to go through here? Because I’m not like, a city planner or anything, but it would seem to me that after approximately 5 million trucks get stuck under the same overpass, it MIGHT be time to put up a “no trucks allowed sign.” Maybe? Because obviously the 12’9″ sign isn’t doing the trick. I mean, the geniuses behind the wheels of these trucks can clearly see those signs and yet they still say, “I’m only 12’6”, I can fit no problem. It’s like the fat friend everyone has who insists they can fit into a size twelve. Except your oompa-loompa friend can just walk around uncomfortable and looking like a balloon that’s about to pop. The truck has no such advantage.

Now I’m only a thirteen year old boy on a statue, so I haven’t been in Worcester forever. But apparently this guy has:

The 60’s. Ya got that? That’s how friggin long trucks have been getting stuck under that bridge. Yet they keep fucking coming!! Janay Rice had better judgement than these dingleberries. The least the city can do is to clean that place up a bit for the inevitable photographs. Every time I see a picture of this happening there’s a CSX car sitting on the rail tracks. Now I don’t know much about railroads, but aren’t trains supposed to MOVE on tracks? Where are there always cars just sitting there?

Seriously though, can we like plant some flowers down there or maybe cut the grass? Because this looks like the first place I would go to if I wanted to get one of Worcester’s finest ladies of the night.

Oh yea, and that whole area was just redone a few years ago. Since this has apparently been going on since the 60’s, wouldn’t that have been a good time to try to address this? The only possible reasoning I can think of to explain why they haven’t come up with a simple fix for this nightmare is that the powers that be find it as funny as I do. Because let’s be honest – this is hilarious. No one gets hurt. A truck driver gets delayed. Tow company gets business. Everyone wins. You know that guy who sits on Main Street all day watching traffic?

If I’m him, I take my chair down to Cambridge Street with a bag of popcorn and just wait for the inevitable to happen.

I see Cambridge St hasn’t changed at all since my childhood in the 80’s. Still looks like a shit hole.

Honestly, if I owned a business on that stretch of Cambridge between Brosnihan Sq. and Four Corners, I’d move. Those trucks getting stuck every other day has to suck for those poor bastards.

Fuck that! I would set up a beer and hot dog stand out there in anticipation of the next truck crashing intothe bridge. Do you know how much money you would make off of all of the teamsters, cops, press, and lookie loos?

Did he throw a few back at Three G’s first and then decide he could defy physical dimensions?

Leave them truckers alone. Maybe they can’t help but miss the height sign to look back in the side mirror for a second glimpse at hurricane.

Dude, if you’re referring to Hurricane Betty’s, that’s not the same bridge.

Sweaty Betty’s is at the corner of Southbridge and Lafayette. The bridge every idiot trucker gets stuck under is on Cambridge St, near Brosnihan Sq.
