The family of a 16 year old boy who was found decapitated is blaming the cops for not doing enough to find him because he was Hispanic.

On Thursday in Lawrence a woman found a decapitated body along the Merrimack River. It turned out to be 16 year old Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino, who had been missing for about a week. Not good.
Then on Saturday his classmate at Lawrence High School, 15 year old Matthew Borges, was arrested for the murder after being seen on video as the last one with him, and confessing the crime to another student:
“Matthew then told him that he stabbed a kid and cut his head off, killing him,” the report states. “When Matthew said this, he was motioning with his hands as if he was stabbing someone and cutting someone’s head off.”

Lawrence man. Place is a zoo. It’s the worst city in Massachusetts BY FAR!! But decapitation? How does that even happen? How can one 15 year old kid do that by himself? How did no one hear this? And…..why? You gotta be a sick and twisted person to pull a stunt like that. I’m sure more will come out on this, but nevertheless, pretty fucked up.
In the meantime the family is blaming the Lawrence Police Department:
“It has been treated like one case that they didn’t consider — it wasn’t kids running away from my home,” Viloria-Paulino’s grandmother Ivelisse Cornielle said through tears. “We were informing them since the very beginning that it’s not that case … They could have done a better job, but they didn’t do it because we didn’t have money and we’re Hispanic.”
Oh for fuck’s sake. The kid’s body was just discovered and you’re already playing the race card and blaming the cops? What were the cops supposed to do? The kid was killed on the night that he disappeared with Matthew Borges. The whole thing was probably over with before anyone got suspicious. Yea, it obviously sucks to lose a loved one like that, and grieving people aren’t always thinking right. But, come on now. Blaming the police because you’re not white is a great way for people to lose sympathy for you.

What I don’t understand is in Lawrence the rats are stabbing and shooting each other on a daily basis when they are not overdosing on drugs but something like this happens and all of a sudden everyone is losing their heads.
He’s tried as a adult at 15. That’s a lot of years in the slammer, if convicted. Looks like no father around as usual.

While the elegance of the ghetto lexicon is lost on me, I believe some of my homies (do I have this right?) thin-sliced the reality of the arrest. It’s very unlikely this little homeboy acted alone. Beheading a person is a gruesome, messy, arduous task reserved for a special group that rarely includes wanna-be gang bangers.

Maybe he was trying to give that other kid a haircut just like his and aimed too low. That’ll be his defense strategy in court. Or maybe he’s been watching isis videos. Did he have a koran on him when he was arrested? Either way, they need to lock this sick piece of shit up for the rest of his life.
