Everyone knows the Boston Globe is a joke. Boston.com is the offspring of the Globe, and basically acts as their “opinion” section online. They’ve posted ridiculous shit in the past, including articles that have shit on the ice bucket challenge, Gish Jen’s infamous piece that blamed Bostonians for “failing the Tsarnaevs,” and an article that called the high school football coaches from Dedham, Walpole, Everett, and Brookline “homophobic” because the Patriots didn’t sign Michael Sam. So a couple months back I asked my girl Hillary Sargent, the editor for Boston.com, if I could submit an article, since basically they publish anything. She said to send something over. Of course I did, and of course they didn’t publish it. But it didn’t stop them yesterday from being the official news publication that SUPPORTS THE PROTESTERS who blocked traffic on I-93:
Boston.com: Twitter users in Boston were quick to sound off on protesters who blocked traffic on I-93 Thursday morning. The protests, which began around 7:30a.m., took place in Medford and Milton. Protesters, who chained themselves to concrete-filled oil barrels, held up traffic until they were removed from lanes around 10 a.m. Police report that 29 arrests were made by the end of the proceedings.
In a city known worldwide as the site of another famous protest, folks took to social media to voice their frustration. Some sympathized; some wished protesters had chosen a less-trafficked location.
Others seemed to miss the point entirely:

Never brake for pedestrians in the middle of a highway.

Opinions on the actions of protesters––who recently released a statement––are sure to differ. But in light of recent world events, calling for the deaths of with the right to protest seems unnecessary. No matter how late for work it makes you.
So apparently all these people who were pissed off that these hippies threatened public safety, cost the economy millions, and purposely tried to ruin everyone’s day “missed the point entirely.”
Wait….what? Are these nudniks at the Globe actually suggesting that the protesters had a valid reason to do what they did? Did they miss this video from black leadership in Boston that said the protesters were, “exploiting the legitimate issues of black people for their own interests?” Did they miss when Reverend Rivers said that these hippies are, “Occupy Wall Street, trust fund babies, who are having a good time at the expense of black people”?
Nobody in their right mind thinks these people had a point that anyone could “miss entirely.” Because their only point was, “hey I can fuck up your day and hide behind the first amendment because I’m a fat miserable hippie and no one likes me.” That was their whole point – that they could cause general destruction and anarchy.
This part of the article pissed me off the most:
But in light of recent world events, calling for the deaths of those with the right to protest seems unnecessary. No matter how late for work it makes you.
Because THAT right there is the mentality of the protesters. Fuck your time. Fuck it real good. The protesters look at us and laugh. “Oh poor babies, you’re gonna be late for work? Well black people are dying so logically I have to sit here in traffic in order to fix it.”
That’s the shit that gets to me. They act like this is no big deal. Like a couple people got to work 15 minutes late, so this whole thing was overblown. Ummm, what about the first people on the scene who nearly ran into these disgusting rats while they brought their barrels onto the highway. Multiple cars had to swerve not to hit them. The fact that it didn’t cause a fatality is nothing less than a miracle. And what about the ambulances, and the chemotherapy patient that couldn’t get to the hospital? LOL. Who gives a shit about them right? Because….racism!!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you are so lucky to come across one of these people then it’s your patriotic duty as an American to punch them in the face. Nothing will happen to you. Tell em Turtleboy sent ya. If these people can purposely try to kill innocent civilians and be out of jail the same day, then you can pretty much do anything in this country.
