Sombrero-gate just keeps getting better. If you need to catch up then read thisBasically Bowdoin College in Maine is disciplining several students for attending a “tequila themed” part in which some students were photographed wearing mini-sombreros:

The whole country is laughing at this school right now because of how ridiculous this is. They’re claiming that students are injured and professors like Doris Santoro are offering their guest houses to students who need to rest up from this traumatic event of having to look at a picture on the Internet:

Well, in one of the op-eds from the school newspaper (the newspaper is called “The Orient” which makes this even more hilarious) we notices this comment:

So we went to Bowdoin College’s Facebook Page and we found several pictures we could not believe we were looking at. Bowdoin College not only provided sombreros at the 2015 reunion, they also posted pictures of both alumni AND STUDENTS posing in the sombreros inside the school sanctioned photo booth:

Oh. My. God. This story is the gift that keeps on giving. Like, it couldn’t have possibly been scripted any better. It’s not like this reunion happened 10-15 years ago. It was LAST FREAKING YEAR!!! The school’s Instagram account even wrote, “Put on a silly hat and come to the Smith Union for the Bowdoin Reunion photo booth”!! Not only does Bowdoin not have a problem with sombreros, they actively promote the “silly” usage of them on their social media accounts!!

They have to let these kids go free now right? I mean, they probably owe them the world’s biggest apology. I wouldn’t accept if I was them. I’d make them beg. They were about to kick you out of school for something completely harmless. Something so harmless that they literally promoted doing the same thing nine months ago.

Everyone with a brain knows that there’s nothing offensive about a sombrero. Is it a part of Mexican culture? Yup. But so what? Americans invented blue jeans, coke, and rap music, and now the rest of the world enjoys that stuff too because they’re fun. Are we supposed to be upset that they’re mocking our culture? Fuck no. Because it’s not even remotely close to being considered offensive.

The only ones who are offended by this are white social justice warriors, and a couple Bowdoin students who have an ancestor that lived in Mexico. When you go down to Cancun or Tijuana, Americans can buy a sombrero pretty much everywhere and the people there aren’t offended by it. Ya know why? Because they’re real Mexicans, and they have REAL problems. Ya know, like openly crooked cops, drug cartels, and poop colored water. The “Latino” students from Bowdoin like Michelle Kruk and this kid:

12359838_922292687808706_5408698030737762180_n

have lived their entire lives in the wealthiest, strongest nation on earth. They come from rich families and they attend a school that costs $63,000 a year!!! They know nothing of the problems that real Mexicans face. They know nothing about what it means to struggle. But they want to be victims, because victim culture has taken over college campuses. And this is the best they could come up with.

I guess I can understand why the students made a big deal out of this – they don’t know any better and they’re obviously not very smart. But how did Bowdoin drop the ball this badly? When they first backed up the students I kind of got it. Colleges are run by PC idiots. But these particular PC idiots KNEW that they were passing out sombreros at the reunion 9 months ago, and they still signed onto this anyway. This might be the most hilarious story we’ve ever covered on Turtleboy Sports. It is the gift that keeps on giving.

Don’t most tequila bottles have a “theme” on their labels??
Wonder how many of the labels have sombreros?

This whole thing has got me feeling so ashamed about the pimp & ho party I attended in college. So sad to think of all those proud sex workers I offended. And really, I don’t even want to consider all the microaggresions I committed at the white trash party! I have brought shame to my family.

As your punishment, you are hereby required to “Make it Rain” on 3 non-white strippers in the next month.

Don’tcha just love this day and age. I say “Fuck” or criticizing a foreigner like John Oliver who rips our way of life apart from top to bottom. But oh my goodness I am a sexist pig and a racist. I strongly disagree with radical extreme left wing political agendas with anti-police and anti-military ideologies but fucking oh – I am THE bad guy. This is real nice. Real fucking nice. Thank you all of you thumbs down. You are such great Americans.

Isn’t it worse and rather stereotypical to say only Mexicans can wear sombreros? And the kids should have said they have Mexican heritage and then call anyone who asks to prove it a racist.

Sombrero-gate might be the best thing since Busgate. WAY better than Big E-gate, Bonnie-gate, and Buffalo-gate.

Wait a minute, is one of those men wearing a Viking helmet and a mustache at a Sombrero party? First, that is the wrong piece of headwear! Second, that is very offensive to our Scandinavian ancestors. To wear a plastic toy helmet, which represents a very violent group of savage people is completely unacceptable! Maybe he is a Mexican Viking…? Either way, it doesn’t matter, because he appears to be African American, and we all know now that an African American cannot be racist or ethnically insensitive!

And most importantly, how dare he mock people with mustaches! I have a mustache that I have spent half my life perfecting to its current style, shape, color and thickness. Anyone who hasn’t attempted to grow a mustache, despite the constant ridicule and insults; especially being called a “porn star” or “pedophile, has no idea the psychological pain and inner struggles I have endured for many many years!! My devotion to this fabulous piece of forgotten and nearly lost mark of masculinity has cost me many girlfriends over the years! And what about the female party goers, or the young fella standing in front of the big polar bear who can’t grow mustaches? That is not very inclusive!

I hope this proves a point of how freaking ridiculous shit like this Tequila Party uproar sounds! You could literally be, and obviously many are offended at almost anything in this pussy society now! How bout just enjoy college for what it has historically been about…and stop looking for things to be offended by!!!

“Shots of reuniing white alumni, wearing…” Funny how they point out the white people but no mention of blacks doing the same thing.

Zzzzzzzzzzz fauz oppression, faux outrage, faux racism allegations, hate crime hoaxes. So tired of these beta males and their white knight victim mentality.

grow a set of balls and find something truely oppressive and offense to get pissed about. Is that the problem? America is so great that these are our major problems today? fucking sombreros? Ohh the horror!
