The family of Chad Reidy is already blaming Turtleboy for his suicide because we wrote a blog about his public reaction on Facebook to the disappearance of his wife, Jo Ringer.
First we heard from a man claiming to be his brother:
Alright, first of all, thank you for your service Jonathan.
Secondly, your brother did not commit suicide “do” to our blog. He committed suicide because it was something he made a conscious choice to do. We don’t know why he did it. Many have speculated it’s because the cops were onto him, he felt guilty, and he took the coward’s way out. But that’s what other people are saying, not us. We stick to the facts.
Speaking of facts, where are yours Jonathan? Did he leave a note blaming Turtleboy for the life he chose to take (his own)? No? Well then it sounds like your speculation is no different than that of the rest of the world wide internets.
Thirdly, have you spoken with Attorney Richard N. Vulva? Because he’ll definitely take the case. The guy who told you that this was “causation” is probably just some bootleg lawyer running up the bill on you. Obviously no one would hold a blog accountable for someone’s suicide. Obviously.
Fourthly, if your brother really did think that she was missing, then he abandoned her in her time of need. There are hundreds of people out there actively looking for her. The person who should be leading this search is her husband, who evidently did very little and is now no longer around. But, fuck them right? Chad is the real victim here. Boo-hoo. Imagine your brother died and the first thing you did with your pain was message Turtleboy?
Fifthly, are you planning on suing the hundreds of people who have gone much further than we did and outright accused him of killing Jo Ringer? Because we never actually said he did it. Hundreds of others have. How bout the Berkshire Eagle, Masslive, Greenfield Recorder, WWLP or Western MA News? All of them have published stories about your brother, which have made him look extremely guilty and led to Internet speculation. Did they make him kill himself too?
Look, Turtleboy has nothing but respect for the military. But this guy is subtly dropping his alleged service because he think it will impress us. If you have a problem because your brother was mentioned in a blog, that’s one thing. Feel free to let us know. But if you think for one second we’re gonna kiss your ass because you claim to be serving in Japan right now, you have another thing coming.
We also heard from the sister, who wants us to pay for his funeral:
Imagine you just lost a loved one and the first thing that came to your mind was, “better message Turtleboy and tell him to pay for the funeral.” Sad.
According to Chad’s wall there are lots of people who made him kill himself:
But you know who no one is blaming? The guy who made the decision to take his own life before the authorities figured out what happened to his wife.
