It’s been 10 days since we broke the news that there was an admitted pot dealer and money launderer employed as a Massachusetts State Trooper. Yet neither governor Charlie Baker or Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito has said a word about it. No calls for reform. No disgust with an organization that has seen four senior officials resign in disgrace in the last couple of months due to coverups of politically connected figures. Nothing.
Hmmm……I wonder why…..
Oh right, it turns out another one of Leigha Genduso’s connections is her friend from Shrewsbury, Karyn Polito. They’re friends. They go out in social situations together and share photos on Instagram. I’m sure Karyn must’ve known about her past, yet she said nothing as she watched this criminal advance in the MSP.
No wonder the Baker administration hasn’t said a word about this. Leigha Genduso was a supporter.
Coincidentally both Polito and Baker this week have been tweeting away about the dangers of drugs:
ICYMI: Baker-Polito Administration announces partnership with Norfolk County District Attorney’s office to pilot an innovative new approach to tackle the heroin & #OpioidEpidemic.

Not that weed is a drug. It’s not. But the Baker administration actively opposed the ballot initiative to make weed legal. Yet here they are buddy buddy with a pot dealer. Makes sense.
Karyn Polito might be silent about her friend, because she, like many people, have been weary to vocally support Leigha Geduso. Not until the free muh boi patrol showed up on the Boston Herald yesterday to defend her honor….
Yea guys – she was given “ammunity.” This of course refers to when she was granted “ammunity” at the 2005 grand jury, with the caveat that if she lied she would be prosecuted for drug dealing and perjury. Yet she lied anyway and was once again granted “ammunity” in 2007.
Plus, how are people reading about this public drug case? It was supposed to be “exsponged.” You did nothing wrong Leigha. Your cousin Dorothea, who decided to tag herself in her own post, has your back!!
So does your Auntie Gina:
Is pot legal? Yes.
Was pot legal in 2003? No.
If you take prescription drugs on the regular, does that make you a drug addict? Yes, that’s the definition of a drug addict.
Can you admit to doing these things under oath and still become a state trooper? No.
The bottom line is, we’re not letting this story die until it’s completely resolved. Adding Daniel Risteen and Susan Anderson to the Turtleboy graveyard was nice and all, but if the swamp isn’t completely drained then the swamp rats never leave. The MSP is in serious need of top down reform. Troopers deserve to do their job without worrying about which politically connected hack is gonna punish them for arresting the wrong person or blowing the whistle on a known pot dealer.
