Dana Remian Goes Where No Man Has Gone Before By Attempting To Prove J-Dub Exists

By J-Dub

Honestly, I wish I’d known that TurtleBoy was going to post the article about “TurtleBoy Sporks, a.k.a Worcester’s saddest “hippie,” a.k.a. Dana Remian.  Had I known, I could have added this little gem to it.  But since that didn’t happen, and since I found a great article about what Remian and George “Mr. Sulu” Takei may have in common…well, there’s just too many good “Star Trek” jokes to be had here.

Here’s the deal.  There have been several exchanges between myself and the TurtleBoy folks having many good, old-fashioned belly-laughs at the accusation that I don’t really exist.  I’ve also known for a long time before TBS made it public knowledge that Remian was the man behind “TurtleBoy Sporks.” I haven’t said anything about it until now because frankly, it didn’t matter.  For that matter, it still really doesn’t.

What it boils down to is the leftie racists of the world have a real problem with black people who don’t toe the line when it comes to the way “we are supposed to think.” They have two ways of dealing with this problem.

First is the “Mr. Sulu” approach, which is to fire a couple of photon torpedoes of pure, uncut racism.  Takei went on a rant against blacks and  Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas largely because contrary to popular opinion, the black community isn’t as friendly to the gay rights movement as we’re supposed to be.  After all, aren’t all oppressed minorities supposed to think alike?

Takei’s problem with blacks stems from the fact that when Proposition 8 (the measure which would have legalized same-sex marriage in California) was voted down, and it certainly wasn’t helped by the fact that the black vote went decidedly against it (be advised the title of the linked article has a “high” offending factor...) There’s a pretty pointed reason why large numbers of blacks aren’t particularity fond of tactics used by the gay rights movement.

For years, I’ve written about liberal fringe groups that seek legitimacy by equating their issues to the black civil rights struggle. What I find interesting with the whole Proposition 8-gay marriage clash is that the very gays who want to be like blacks, now find themselves at odds with a black population that not only is insulted by the comparison, but voted overwhelmingly against the marriage initiative.

Well, the problem only goes downhill from there.  Reading the rest of that article may prove both enlightening and disturbing for people who don’t fully realize that racism in America goes far beyond the shopworn black/white narrative we hear all too often.  However, the real guts of this come from Takei’s comments on Thomas.

He is a clown in blackface sitting on the Supreme Court. He gets me that angry. He doesn’t belong there. And for him to say, slaves have dignity. I mean, doesn’t he know that slaves were in chains? That they were whipped on the back. If he saw the movie 12 Years a Slave, you know, they were raped. And he says they had dignity as slaves or – My parents lost everything that they worked for, in the middle of their lives, in their 30s. His business, my father’s business, our home, our freedom and we’re supposed to call that dignified? Marched out of our homes at gun point. I mean, this man does not belong on the Supreme Court. He is an embarrassment. He is a disgrace to America.

Yeah, I could point out the factual problems that quote contains; the original author does a fine job of that. My point here is that the idea the the left in this country is one big happy family is completely false.

That brings me to Remian, and the second approach people like him take to guys like me.  If you can’t call me names, and you’re afraid to attack me lest you be called a racist, then your only alternative is to pretend I don’t exist. The problem is that I do, and by trying to follow me on Facebook, and messaging me on Twitter, Remian has broken through that “Final Frontier.”

Here’s the proof:

Smart? The hippies like me…they really, really like me.  So, at least I’ve got that going for me.  OK, I know I went from “Star Trek” to “Caddyshack,” but there’s just too many jokes here for one movie/TV reference.  Forget the fact he’s asking me a deliberately loaded question.  Forget the fact he goes from proper language and punctuation to the drivel usually seen in places like Twitter.  Forget the fact he’s trying to trick me into me to telling him who “TurtleBoy” really is.

I’ll try to make this simple for you, Dana.  Not only do I exist, but I’m part of a movement that isn’t going away soon.  That’s because “TurtleBoy” isn’t one person, it’s an attitude held by a vast number of people in the country who are the ones getting blamed for problems they didn’t create.  “TurtleBoy” is about people who just want to go to work, pay their bills, make their lives better and generally live long and prosper.  I know you won’t understand that; those words might as well be in Klingon to you.
