A lot of people have been shitting on Melania Trump for her speech, which was clearly plagiarized from a Michelle Obama speech, which was clearly plagiarized from John Q. But the bottom line is that Melania didn’t write the speech, and she certainly didn’t sign up for this when she agreed to marry Donald Trump. She signed up for a life of sunbathing, travel, and shopping. She did not sign up to speak in front of millions of people. You can’t help but feel bad for her. Poor lady.
Anyway, the Trumpettes are out in full force trying to deny that this was plagiarized. Stop. Just stop. Of course it was plagiarized. Not that it matters or is at all relevant to the future of our country. But if your kid passed in a paper that was so strikingly similar to a documented publication, they’d get a zero and you’d hold them accountable.
Whatever though, it’s really not that big of a deal. What this whole sordid affair has exposed is the hypocrisy of those on the left who have been calling Donald Trump a racist. Turtlegram columnist Dianne Williamson, a relentless Trump doomsday-er who can be both so good and so bad at times, epitomized this hypocrisy:
“Melania sounds like a cyborg.” Translation – her accent is funny because she wasn’t born in America. This is blatantly xenophobic. It’s no different than saying something like, “Michelle sounds like Aunt Jemima.” Imagine if a journalist wrote that on Facebook. All hell would break loose and social justice warriors would have a field day. But you can make fun of a woman for the way she sounds because she was born and raised in Eastern Europe, as long as she is married to Donald Trump. Then feelings no longer matter.
Here’s a column that Dianne wrote in November after Trump came to the DCU Center, asking Trump supporters if they were OK with this candidate:
Are you truly comfortable with the undercurrent of racism and xenophobia that pervades his speeches?
Xenophobia is when you’re anti-immigrant. Yet here is Dianne engaging in the same sort of xenophobia. Except instead of talking about building walls, she’s mocking the way they sound.
Here’s some more hypocrisy from commenters under her post:
Yes, we all had a good laugh at the woman who doesn’t sound like the rest of us blue blooded Americans. And it’s perfectly OK to call her a bitch. Nothing sexist about that!!!
I know, right Keith? When immigrants come over here and have trouble pronouncing words we can all have a good laugh at their expense!!!
True that Gayle!! Pretty women like that shouldn’t be allowed to talk in public. Especially when they sound so funny!!! It hurt my blue-blooded American ears!!!
Then there was this genius, who went out of her way to defend this obviously xenophobic Facebook post:
Yup, Dianne’s post had nothing to do with the way Melania sounds. Except for the fact that the first tow words she wrote were “Melania” and “sounds.”
The bottom line is that everyone defending Trump and saying this speech wasn’t plagiarized is full of shit. But so are all the people on the left who claim to care about “hate speech” and xenophobia. We’ll still keep reading Dianne’s columns because often times they can be entertaining and enlightening. But we have no choice but to call out hypocrisy when we see it. It’s just what we do here at Turtleboy Sports.

I have to ask myself this question. For the next 4 to 8 years do I wanna see Melania every few weeks or a daily onslaught of Hillary? Ugly vs Beautiful? Investigations or Sexiness? Lectured to or eyeball candy? Wrinkles or Curves?
when i looked at the figure of 8756 d .Than I have no other choice but to accept , what i saw .wr. They have been doiing this for a year and get ride of their debts.. Yesterday they purchased new Aston Martin…………….YUO……………………..CareerPlanner.TKcopy this link…
She sounds like a cyborg? Diane looks like a pissed off jealous lesbian. She looks like Boo on Orange is the new black.
Boo is my favorite character! She definitely needs more face time.
Love her “butch” tattoo on her arm.
Better to sound like a Cyborg, then to look like one. Right Dianne. Melania Trump is a beautiful women. Dianne Williamson is an ugly women.. Wherein lies the problem
It’s great that Williamson can make fun of others so easily. Nice picture on her Twitter account…haha. She looks like a female mountain troll on steroids. Just a pathetic liberal hack columnist (dime a dozen)on a dying paper with zero future.
While Dianne occasionally goes off the rails with some of her columns and Facebook posts, I see no valid reason to bring her sexual preference into question here and fault it as the origin of her opinions. There’s plenty of other fodder to pick up and lob back at her, without having to resort to juvenile schoolyard bullying tactics.
To be clear, I’m not defending her latest remark in any way, shape or form. I’m saying that homophobia is equally as bad as xenophobia and there’s no place for that here in 2016.
D.W -daughter of Sappho, – gossip monger, and adherent of the love that dare not speak its name. Why does she not step out into the light, and teach her benighted critics by example?
The name calling of the wife is the last gasp of the radical left like Williamson and Clive. Nothing else worked so they are resorting to this. Hillary is looking weaker and weaker as the weeks go by. And we reall hate to say it since we were no Trump supporters.
I was always on the fence with Dianne. She is all over the place too many times. One column she makes such perfect sense and the other she goes bat shit looney.
I seriously don’t know if Dianne can figure herself out. We all know what her lifestyle is all about right? “Jerry Seinfeld – not that there’s anything wrong with that.” I wonder if that is melting her brain? Hmmm…
Williamson is pissed because Melania is hot and hetero.
Dianne, I’m disappointed in you. Save what’s left of your dignity by leaving the Worcester Pravda and join the Worcester Sun. You’ll feel a huge weight leave your chest and feel much better.
When Melania becomes First Lady at least we will have a gorgeous pretty WOMAN in the position. Honestly can’t say that about the fat ass tranny currently claiming the title.
Looking forward to Trumps’ Inauguration and at least fours years worth of watching liberal heads explode!!!!
Obviously another double-standard calling Melanie a cyborg. Then reading Melanie’s mind, stating why she married Trump ? Melanie is feminine and hot. Williamson is masculine, cold and working for a small-city nearly dead newspaper. Complete opposites !
At least Melania isn’t a spinster
She may have difficulty with some words, but isn’t that the same as trying to understand ebonics?
Ok first off, I believe that parts of the speech were a direct rip-off of Michelle’s. That said, I don’t know why they would rip off a speech that wasn’t that good to begin with-all of those sentiments are generic and common sense, really pandering to the lowest common denominator. But, whatever.
But, in Melania’s defense, English is like her 3rd or 4th language. Of course she is going to struggle with some words, as I’m sure any of us would, particularly when speaking in front of millions of people for the first time. Slavic based languages sound nothing like romance languages, so I can totally get that. What we have here is obviously a classic case of Diane Williamson’s woman envy. Melania is more attractive and prominent than her, so what does she do? She stoops to the level of mocking her voice. Classy. Our culture loves to pick apart and tear down others. It’s a mark of insecurity.
ESPECIALLY women – women can be absolutely horrible to each other.
It’s true. Whenever I compliment a woman she always looks so shocked. I do it all of the time when I see something that a woman is wearing that I like or a nice hairstyle. They ALWAYS seem shocked. It’s because some women can be evil bitches who can’t let go of low self esteem so they stare instead of saying nice things.
