On Friday a bunch of twatwaffles with nothing to do shut down the Congress Street Bridge during rush hour, which connects Southie to downtown Boston, in order to protest climate change.
Hundreds of climate change activists have flooded Boston’s Seaport District and forced police to close the Congress Street Bridge to traffic during rush hour on Friday. The protesters have gathered for “Flood the Seaport” protest, which was organized by Extinction Rebellion. The event is meant to raise awareness about what organizers are calling a “climate crisis.” According to one report, sea levels in the Seaport District are projected to rise several feet over the next few decades. Activists began to move onto the bridge at around 4:30 p.m. and built a temporary structure on it. Two protesters then climbed about 40 feet up a structure on the bridge and placed a banner there that reads: “Tell the truth … declare climate emergency. According to John Atwater, of NewsCenter 5, police spoke sternly with the pair but did not arrest them. Organizers said the protest was scheduled to wrap up before 6:30 p.m.

It should be a federal crime to blockade traffic, but for some reason we allow it. It’s basically kidnapping. You’re preventing people from having the FREEDOM to travel where and when they want to travel, because you wanna throw a hissy fit over (insert activist cause here). As if you don’t live in a city where 99% of the people already agree with you. Plus, this causes cars to idle or travel further than they intended to in order to get where they’re going, which of course releases more carbon emissions into the atmosphere. At the end it achieves nothing and causes more harm to the environment. Nice going morons.

If I had no opinion on climate change prior to this, I would immediately wanna start burning down the rainforest and drilling for oil in your backyard. Whatever it takes to upset you really. I just truly hate you, and I want to actively work against your cause to teach you a lesson. I also think that we should have the right to run you over with our car. Don’t wanna become a speed bump? Get out of the road.
Yet Marty Walsh allows this to happen, without a permit. Because in Suffolk County you’re allowed to break the law, so long as you’re doing so under the guise of addressing some sort of left wing talking point.

Climate Justice… I read the words and wondered when those heroes were leaving for the great Amazonian weenie roast, to arrest those responsible and delivering justice to, um, the climate.
