Dear Mainstream Media: When you inevitably steal this story and pretend we don’t exist, could you at least send us a free t-shirt or something? Thanks.

A turtle rider sent us this letter from The Arbors Kids of East Longmeadow daycare, about an employee who was terminated yesterday for bringing a gun to work:

I know the visceral reaction from people will be, “what an asshole,” bringing a gun around children. But need I remind people that three days ago an armed gunmen went into a church and started specifically targeting children? Or how in Newton, CT, twenty defenseless children were slaughtered?

In the immediate aftermath of a tragedy like what happened in Texas, politicians on both sides of the aisle use it to grandstand. If the killer’s white the left blames it on guns. If the killer’s brown the right blames it on immigration. Then virtue signaling, blue checkmarked assholes trying to make it big on Occupy Democrats tweet how useless your thoughts and prayers are without “taking action.”

Well, what do you think this guy with the gun was doing? Taking action. How long are we going to allow our children to be target practice for armed madmen? If the gun was legally registered, and the reason this guy brought the gun to work with him was because of what happened in Texas, then he shouldn’t be fired, he should be commended. Because the fact of the matter is that guns are not going anywhere. There’s literally nothing that can be done about it. Even if you banned guns altogether people would still have access to them. See the war on drugs for more information on that.

So this employee did the next best thing – prepared himself for a worst case scenario. Because although I’m sure the East Longmeadow Police are fully capable and trained to take down a hypothetical gunman, children would be dead by the time they were able to do so. This isn’t a left-right thing. This is just common sense.

P.S. If you were the employee, or you know who that employee is, please contact us and we’d love to share your side of the story. Same goes for the daycare, but I doubt they’d want to comment on this to Turtleboy.

    1. The arbors kids school probably employs child molesters

Fuck THAT! My visceral reaction is FUCK THAT SCHOOL. They are probably going to teach kids to turn in to complete retards as adults. That teacher who was fired sounded like a class act for the way he handled it. I hope he comes out on top some how. We live in a society of dumb fuckin pussies.

      AAANNNDDDD They’re off!

The liberal nut-bags already released a bill today they want pushed … no scary rifles (205 models by name!), no more than 10 rounds, only 1 evil feature (poor CT has had this for a while now…), but here’s the REALLY scary part… they are exempting 2200 models by name … sounds like the start of an ‘OK’ list which they can modify at will and anything not in that list could be an ‘evil’ gun …

Who cares of an AR-15 is functionally no different than a Remington 750 … they are both semi automatic carbine rifles… one is a .223 and the other a .308 … but the 750 looks like your grandpa’s hunting rifle and an ar-15 looks like Call of Duty ….

Here’s what the liberal agenda has accomplished – gun owners are looked down as whackos and nut jobs and future murders, guns are banned all over the place because signs saying “no guns” work really well (I think there is a funny as hell YouTube video about this called “Law Abiding Criminals” …) … BUT … we have managed to say that heroin addicts are sick, minorities are not racist but you cant do what they do or you ARE racist, and Trump should be impeached …

So let’s take away the civilians who want to protect themselves and others, let’s pull them out of the areas which are likely targets; lets make people so afraid to be stigmatized they let you do whatever you want and refuse to exercise their rights… ‘Merica

Attention Liberal douchebag’s….a semi automatic rifle will continue to fire each time you squeeze the trigger, as long the ammo lasts. The ban on bumpstocks will have no effect. Gun laws do not matter to criminals.

This whole article is crazy! Your fine with a stranger carrying a gun around kids? This person is a daycare worker making $15/hr. They’re not ex-military. It’s also a bit of a leap assuming they’re a responsible gun owner. All we know is that they had it legally which basically means nothing. The Texas shooter bought all his guns legally even with a history of beating the shit out of his family. I doubt they have any formal training. Where are they keeping the gun all day, in a holster down their pants? Then some kid in a hissy fit kicks the gun and shoots the guys dick off. In their work locker? It’s not protecting anyone in there. Around their ankle? Perfect, keep it where the kids are. Just don’t be surprised when one kid grabs it and shoots another kid thinking its a toy. In no way shape or form is any of this a good idea. These daycare centers have security systems in place already preventing people from, ya know, stealing kids. Keep the gun at home ya nut.

In order to obtain a LTC you need to take a course. Maybe you missed it fucktard but if that hero in Texas hadn’t been armed we may be looking at twice the number killed. Sandy Hook was a gun free zone. How’d that work out for you asshole?

        1. Jameson

Fuck your $100 LTC course. It’s not going to teach you how to act in a high stress situation with children involved. Also, the guy in TX wasn’t watching a bunch of children at he time. Sandy Hook, what’s your solution for that tragedy? I bet your the kinda moron who thinks we should arm teachers

          1. jameson is a douche

Yeah i know youre solution. Wring youre hands and whine how we need to ban all hand guns. Thats working so well for chicago huh?

The church was full of children who were targeted. Stay stupid my friend.

            1. Jameson

No, I don’t want to ban guns. I just don’t think one should be readily available in a place where toddlers outnumber teachers 5-1. I don’t have time to go over every NRA talking point. Let’s stick to the original topic of guns in a daycare.

            2. True Reality Speaks

Don’t waste your breath with this dimwit. He’d rather drink the Kool Aid and be a useful idiot for the anti-constitution fascists that think they know better than the Founders and SCOTUS, etc. Basic human rights and logic are ignored by these totalitarian cucks – they simply want you to be slaves (like they are). And they love to exploit death and tragedy to advance their repressive agenda.

      The police are minutes away.

my comment isn’t about politics or gun rights. It’s about the safety of children. For those of you that assume he has a gun strictly for protection just because he said so what if you’re wrong. What if the guy with the gun turned out to be the shooter not the hero. The daycare had absolutely no other option. They did what was right.

    9. Smartypants

Great idea’s I’m reading here. Lets just let daycare workers, Teachers, Fiefighters, etc.. take their firearms to work- What could go wrong??

    10. JustanotherGrunt

If you don’t own a gun, have never fired a gun, have never been trained to use a gun, your opinion is absolutely worthless. As General Patton once put it – “You know about as much on the matter as the Pope does about fornication!”
The expectation or perception that ex-military and/or law enforcement are the only profound “experts” in firearms use is without merit. Most are marginal shooters at best, and EVERYBODY has issues under duress – common human instincts.
Denying pragmatic common sense approaches to preserving ones’ own life in the face of a threat is the epitome of lunacy!

      1. Smartypants

        And your point is?

      2. Jameson

living your life in perpetual fear of someone coming after you with a gun must be exhausting. Do you sleep at night or just stare at your window, locked n’ loaded praying that someone tries somethin’?

    11. Ozzy

The thing is Gun free zones don’t work. What about trained armed personnel in these areas

      1. Jameson

oh yeah, try doing a quick google search of accidental shooting deaths by kids. Its all in home centers where “law-abiding responsible gun owners” are keeping their weapons locked up. I can’t find any in a center like The Arbors which has a gun-free policy.

For everyone that reads this article. I’m glad your concern is with the individual that was released from employment. Let’s get one thing straight though, the parent that released this memo to the media and for turtleboysports.com to not think about the possible impact this may have on the release of this kind of information to the public has now set a target on this school for any individual seeking to cause harm on children or a school. So, I say thank you to the parent (you should not be a parent based on your judgment) and thank you turtleboysports.com for giving the appearance that this school is not protected. Stand up job fellas!! you now hold the responsibility if something did happen. Hope you all can sleep at night.

      1. Jameson

so not wanting a stranger with a loaded gun around my kids makes me a bad parent… got it, thanks for clearing that up.

        1. Sasha Karpinski

what makes you a bad parent is your lack of judgment for releasing this information. I could give a flying fu(k about the staff member that got fired. Poor judgment on his behalf as well. But releasing the memo to the media just announced to the world that this school is perceived to have a lack of security. So, no, you are not a shity parent for removing your child from this school, but a shity parent for putting everyone else’s child a risk. Thanks, dummy!

Do you always make fake Facebook profiles?

      2. chrissy

lol yeah fuck turtleboy for doing its job!

        1. chrissy

(that was written in response to crazy person posting that turtleboy sports blog is now responsible for the future gun massacre of schoolchildren.. by writing a news article on the internet. :/

          1. Sasha Karpinski

thanks for the input Chrissy. THEY are the ones advertising it.

        2. Sasha Karpinski

          what exactly might that be?
