A lot of people have been complaining about Worcester’s shitty plow job after the recent storm and people are getting all defensive about it. It’s not the city’s fault, it’s not the plow drivers fault – it’s no one’s fault apparently. But watch what happened to some school bus in Vernon Hill this morning:
It’s bad enough bus drivers have to be on the lookout for gangs of parents who try to storm the bus and kick their ass. As a matter of fact this is the SAME EXACT BUS that was involved in Busgate. I swear to God, this poor bus just can’t help making it on Turtleboy Sports.
I only know this because the All-Star Mom who filmed Busgate had this to say when the video was posted on Facebook:
It’s been five months since that glorious blog, but apparently Jessica still hasn’t figured out the difference between “are” and “our.” Here is her exact quote from the Busgate blog:
Fantastic. Never change Busgate parents. Never change. It’s bad enough these poor drivers have to deal with these parents. And it’s bad enough the poor kids are probably still traumatized ever since that fateful September day. Now the children have to deal with buses with no seat belts doing burnouts and bringing them down roads that are basically slip n’ slides. If I was one of those kids I’d probably never step foot on a school bus the rest of my life. Yea, nice fucking job on the streets Worcester.
I don’t care whose fault that is, but it’s certainly not normal. So here’s the deal. We wanna find out if the roads are shitty everywhere or just in Worcester. We’re gonna be doing a mini tour of Worcester County tomorrow to see which towns did the best job of getting rid of all this crap. Granted Worcester is a million times bigger, but we’ve had three days since the storm. It should all be cleaned up by now. Turtleboy investigates will get to the bottom of this.

Turtleboy, even though you are a bit sexist sometimes (just read the Open Letter Super Bowl article), you absolutely crack me the fuck up. Your writing is on point. You made a new fan, congrats.
One would think that a city that is used to getting so much snow would be a bit better at handling it. They should be old pros by now.
Huge props out to these school bus drivers who are out there, traversing the steep hills of Worcester. Folks have no idea the stress that these drivers are under on a typical day, never mind on days like this.
FYI I live is in upstate NY we have this problem, you would think for a city that gets 160 + inches of snow a year the streets would be plowed better, NOT. Just in case you didn’t know even at 30,000 lbs buses are big toboggans in the snow!
And here I was thinkin the “burnouts” are in Spencer this year.
Did I hear a kid yellin “YA FUKIN RIP IT UP!!!!” out of the back of the bus?
They finally plowed Coburn this morning!
Turtleboy please do a blog on morons who don’t know how to hold a frigging camera.
TB, go to Leicester (especially on Peter Salem by the town barn) and then go to Oxford. The best place to see a noticeable difference is on Rt. 56, where once you cross over into Oxford, there’s an increased quality in the plow work.
The city uses the excuse that it’s so much bigger then the area towns. What they don’t say is that they have like 50x as many plow guys working too. So size is no excuse for the horrendous conditions out there.
Can we discuss how school busses are also still rear wheel drive… I swear, school busses deploy the same logic and technology that was around in 1952… The “back in my day” folks must be designing them!
come to orange ma ! I know its a bit outta the way but our roads are impeccable 😀 LOL
Come to Fitchburg as part of your tour, roads are horrible!!
She’s probably one of the same people who stole folding chairs from her family court mandated AA classes to put out in the street on Vernon Hill so that we all dent our cars on them and then wonder why we’re considered the worst drivers in the country.
