The other day we blogged about this Athol woman who was capitalizing on the house fire in Orange which horrifically took the lives of two young girls. The long and short of it is that this woman, Misti Iorio, began to sell various bows and other cheap products for girls, by using the name “Victoria Rose Bows.” Victoria Rose was one of the two girls who died that day. The “business” was originally a fundraiser, in which the proceeds would go to a local dance studio which was raising money for a scholarship in their honor. But for whatever reason they decided that this dance studio wasn’t good enough for them, so they’ve been selling these bows to raise money for ANOTHER dance studio. They just haven’t figured out which one yet.

Well, then they announced that it was no longer a fundraiser, it was their “business”
The bottom line is simple – this “business” would not exist without the tragic death of these two young girls. And nobody wants to buy their crappy bows, unless they guilt them into buying them by invoking this young girl’s name. This woman, who is not related to them, claims that it’s OK because she’s a family friend and the girl’s Dad is cool with it.
Anyway, the Dad, Louis Gaignard, who we are told did not live with the girl, has also apparently been trying to capitalize on this. He follows a page on Facebook called “Unofficial: Chip Foose – Overhaulin.” It’s some guy who fixes up cars and has a bunch of followers (over half a million). In October Louis unsuccessfully tried to use a family tragedy to get Chip Foose to fix his car for him:
Chip never replied, because when you have half a million followers, chances are Chip ain’t actually reading anything in his inbox. Well, literally TWO DAYS after his daughter died, Louis Gaignard was using her death to try to get Chip to fix up his truck again:
Not once, but twice, did this man use a terrible family tragedy to try to guilt his way into getting a tune up. There are no words. This is the most disgusting thing we’ve ever seen. And we’ve written about a lot of disgusting things. I understand we all grieve in our own way, and we know nothing about the personal relationship this man had with his daughter. But I mean, what the hell is wrong with this guy? It was the girl’s wish that her father got his truck overhauled? Who says that? What 8 year old girl’s dream is to have their non-custodial father’s truck juiced up? And can anyone in Athol spell or figure out how to use a period in a sentence?
Like I said, I don’t know anything about this man’s relationship with his daughter. But I do know this – if a tragedy like this happened to my family, the last thing I’d be doing is trying to get a free tune up out of it. I can’t even imagine what it feels like, but I know it would consume me night and day. I’d never get over it. And I certainly wouldn’t make up a LIE two days afterwards, about my kid’s dying wish that my car got juiced up for free. So yea, sorry if we don’t really put much stock into the fact that this “father” approved of the sale of the bows. It seems based on his own words that he doesn’t mind capitalizing off of this tragedy.
Anyway, we’ve got more on this story, but it’s too much to fit into one blog. We’ve been bombarded by some of Orange/Athol’s finest in the last 24 hours, so this will have to be a to be continued situation until tomorrow.

I would like to say I am shocked and disappointed to see adults trying to profit off of the death of a child,but unfortunately I am not. This just goes to show how so many people feel entitled to everything and its absolutely disgusting and I tired of mental health being an excuse. The saddest part in all of this is the little girls who lost their lives are being exploited for money and a truck.
