WCVBCoaches for the Framingham High School football team have been placed on leave as the school investigates an incident that left several players with large blisters during practice. Gary Doherty, the team’s head coach, said a number of players got blisters on the heels of their hands during the conditioning part of practice. The coach said the players were doing bear crawls at the time.

“In 26 years of coaching football, I have never seen anything like this happen,” Doherty said in a note sent to parents that was obtained by the MetroWest Daily News.

The school district released a statement Sunday, explaining why they’ve chosen to put a temporary halt to all football activities.

“Given the size and scope of this incident, where there were a number of students and adults involved, we decided it was prudent to cease football activities in order to collect relative information objectively and expediently,” Dr. Edward Gotgart, the acting superintendent of schools said.

“Placing staff members on administrative leave is part of this process and should not be deemed as a punitive measure; the goal is to ascertain the facts surrounding an event before reaching any judgment,” the acting superintendent said.

There’s the pussification of American. Then there’s 50 feet of shit. Then there’s this. Seriously, we’re not even talking about coaches saying mean things to kids, or coaching playing kids who just got their bell rung, or the usual stuff from overbearing parents. We talkin bout BLISTERS!!! BLISTERS!!! We’re not even talking about the game. We talkin bout BLISTERS!!! Something that literally everyone gets on the first day of football or soccer or whatever other sport you start at the beginning of the year. Something that could be fixed with a bandaid and/or a glove.

Never mind the fact that this happened because they just put in new turf that obviously caused these irreparable BLISTERS!! Kids have been doing bear crawls at football practice since the beginning of time. And obviously if they do them on a new turf surface like this, there is a chance they can get BLISTERS!!! It’s not the coach that’s causing the BLISTERS, it’s the playing surface. Obviously. Perhaps they should suspend the company who put the turf in for causing so much emotional distress to these poor delicate flowers.

This is “Dr.” Edward Gotgart:

32aa3014ca08f7a96ed9d0971455e99e

As you can see, he has clearly never played a sport his entire life. When he was a kid he couldn’t wait to get his PhD just so he could seem important and force people to call him “doctor.” The quicker you get your PhD, the quicker you completely lose touch with reality.

The best is how he said that this was not a “punitive” measure, and that they were simply doing an “investigation.” Into what? The source of BLISTERS?? This requires an investigation? And don’t tell me that it’s not punitive. The mere impression that students and other people get when a coach is put on suspension like this is 100% punitive. If it weren’t then they would be allowed to keep coaching.

The worst part is that superintendents do shit like this because they’re caving in to a small but vocal group of soccer moms who think that telling kids to toughen up is the worst thing you can do to a person:

Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 9.52.07 AM

Yes Kathy, and your response was typical of suburban soccer moms who have done their part to create a nation of naniburgers.

Then there’s this:

Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 9.51.48 AM

Thank God my son didn’t show up to practice and get…….BLISTERS!!!!

Anyway the coach was allowed back today after they completed their “investigation.” My question is, what the hell have they been investigating for three days? Did they do some case studies? Did the superintendent do bear crawls on the turf in order to make sure it was the field that was causing the BLISTERS and not the coach taking a knife to every single kid’s hands? LOL. Yea right. No way he’d ever put himself through that trauma.

Did anyone ever consider that maybe these kids got blisters because they do were something physical for the first time in months (or in some cases – first time ever)? The pansy ass mother’s are probably crying because little Sebastian never got blisters on his hands from playing futbol (because they’re culturally sensitive and would NEVER call it soccer).

Jim Morelli from Fox 25. Covered this story Sunday and Monday. As we reported, this field is anything but new. It is 15 years old and the school has been trying to replace it for 3 years. I have seen many turf fields as a youth soccer coach and this one in Framingham is in the worst condition of any synthetic field I have seen. Do not know if the field condition had anything to do with the blisters… But wanted to dispel the notion this field is new.

I’m curious what Clint Eastwood would have to say about this. Imagine if the kid in Gran Torino complained about blisters?

I lost 40lbs in my first month of high school football. I Was run til I puked my guts out, then bear crawls uphill, up downs, suicides, then ran some more…. And that was “captains practice” before official practice even started. Then it was weight room after that. Then we crushed beers and cheerleader pussy all night… God, we are fucked when the Chinese invade

If I was this coach I’d fucking quit asap. Or better yet, I’d wait around for them to bring me back, and I’d set up a fucking easy bake oven and draw some hopscotch on the ground, and really teach these young white men how to be 6 year old girls, because that’s all this is about. You know damn well it wasn’t a black mother who complained, they actually want their kids to become men.

Helicopter mothers complaining and school officials too afraid to tell these people that this was not a big deal. Kids break bones, get bumps a bruises, and yes, BLISTERS! Pusification at its finest……keep your kids out of organized contact sports if you’re expecting them to come back without bumps and blisters.

The same SJWs complaining about this nonsense are the same ones sending their other kids off to college and demanding they have safe spaces.

The blisters were from burning their hands and arms on the artificial turf that was around 140 degrees. It has nothing to do with “toughness” or “conditioning” they were being burned by the awesome new field that the town paid big money for. The investigation was to look into if the coach was “punishing” kids by making them crawl on the known hot turf… Instead he was just clueless.

Thank gawd they stopped this terrible man from doing that abusive tourture on those poor little kids from framingham. I hope johnny knows how much mommy and daddy care about there little tooties and about getting there feelings hurt. Maybe johnny should go to a all girls school where he can exspress himself properly with out all that violence. Maybe debate club would be more suitible for him. Then when johnny isbeing fucked in the ass in some prep school by there football players they can blame the lunch lady for surving hotdogs whole. Fucken give me a break framingham is full of pussys because there parents made them that way . Perfect training for our future victims that are weak and who will cry its mot fair wa wa mommy go fuck yourself …

When I began walking I got blisters on my feet. I continued and would drain them off. The skin toughened up and all is well. This is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever read. What next? Aching muscles? Out of breath? It’s called conditioning.

  • August 30, 2016 at 10:42 am

Thank gawd Framingham doesn’t participate in crew because it would put the football blisters to shame. What a horror that would have been. What a bunch of lame ass parents.
