I’m not sure where this video was taken (from the accents it sounds like Philly or Baltimore) but it’s a must watch. Basically some guy was in line at the grocery store and these muffs started buying their groceries with food stamps. But then they took out cash and bought a bunch of scratch tickets, so clearly they could’ve afforded to pay for their groceries instead of having the taxpayers pick up the tab. What happened next is what should happen more often in society when we see this sort of nonsense going on:
That man right there just lived the dream. A true American hero if I’ve ever seen one. So many great quotes:
“Wow, pregnant, smoking, and pajamas? You’re like a triple fuck up.”
You know what? (takes steak from shopping cart.) Steak is for taxpayers.”
And he’s right. Turtleboy is a liberal at heart. I admit it, TB is a huge softy. He wants the government to take a more proactive approach in helping the poor. But you’re not helping people if you’re allowing them to continue living a lifestyle that is going to keep them dependent on the government for the rest of their lives.
These people are all able bodied and young. I’m all for welfare that goes to the elderly, the disabled, and other people who find themselves in dire straits through no fault of their own. But these are just muffs. And they’ve obviously never once thought who the magic fairy is that is putting money onto their EBT cards, or where that money originated from. Doesn’t matter because they’re entitled to it.
And how bout the guy on the right who couldn’t even stand up straight?
Obviously he’s all jammed up, which means he has plenty of money for drugs, but still needs us to pay for his steak dinners.
This woman is ripping butts and she may or may not be pregnant. She’s gonna need more healthcare than people who are actually responsible enough to take care of themselves, and who do you think is gonna pay for that? Her kid is gonna be more likely to need social services and other really expensive things once she gets to school, and who do you think is gonna pay for that?
The answer of course is working class people. Because in America the joke is always on working class people. It’s literally news to her that people who pay taxes would have a problem with this. In her mind she is entitled to this free money, and as she says, “it’s none of your business” if you have a problem with financing her lifestyle.
Don’t tell me that these idiots are some sort of exception to the rule either. There are millions like them. I see it all the time. Walk into any Walmart in America or the entire state of West Virginia and you see how common this type of lifestyle is.
And don’t even get me started on the lottery. If these people live in Pennsylvania then legally they are not allowed to play Fanduel, DraftKings, or any other daily fantasy football where you can win money. Because the government has no problem stopping normal, law abiding citizens from having a hobby in their free time, under the guise that they want to protect us from ourselves. But yet they have no problem letting dead beats like this waste their money on scratch tickets because they’re too stupid to realize that scratch tickets are a huge scam that you are guaranteed to lose money on the longer you play.
We’ve written blogs about EBT abuse before and everyone time we do people always get on us about being mean, and not caring about the poor, and blah, blah, blah. Other people point out that we should be going after oil companies and the military-industrial complex for getting government subsidies, which is basically a form of welfare on a much larger and more expensive scale. And you’ve got a good point about that, but the problem is that I don’t see how tax breaks on gigantic corporations affect me on a daily basis. They aren’t in front of me at the grocery store buying scratch tickets and ripping butts in pajama pants.
