The Leigha Genduso story refuses to end. If everyone’s favorite pot farming state trooper would just give up the dream and pursue a new career this would all just go away. But as we saw yesterday she seems hellbent on getting her job back, and according to her lawyer she WILL get her job back. So as long as she continues doing this we’re gonna keep finding and posting information about her as it coms along.
For instance, back in 2009 when Leigha was a MSP dispatcher, and a frequent commenter on Masscops.com. She saw someone who worked at a Shrewsbury CVS that had been robbed posting about it. And since Leigha clearly craves attention and has to be self important, she couldn’t resist the urge to pull a Carla Grant and reach out to a complete stranger to offer up information that legally she could not pass along. It was an email from Shrewsbury Detectives Randy Holmquist and Paul Brown, sent to Leicester Police Chief James Hurley, outlining the sophisticated robbery with the disclaimer, “This email contains information FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY.” Naturally Leigha Genduso sent it to a stranger:
Can’t make this stuff up. This was sent to a CVS employee. A stranger. And she did it to basically show off that she had access to confidential information and she just couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
Then again, rules never really applied to Leigha Genduso. She got her job as a dispatcher because then MSP Colonel Marian McGovern went to bat for her. She got her job as a trooper because her boyfriend used his influence to pass her along. Internal affairs was instructed not to dig into her and to rubber stamp her along. The she got on, cut the line, got a sweet gig in Andover, and figured it was all a result of her hard work and love for dogs.
Because in her mind, she still has not done anything wrong.
