As you know the hippies are in full swing with their “boycott” of Turtleboy Sports sponsors. Everyone knows they can’t get us to stop telling the truth via hot takes so instead they’re picking on local small businesses. Because that’s what bullies do.
This is probably the least surprising story ever. I mean, these people have shown a general disregard for everyone but themselves since they started protesting back in November. These are the same people who have no problem blocking ambulances from getting to the hospital on I-93. You think they give a shit if a local small business takes a hit too? LOL. Yea right.
Their entire philosophy can be summed up as follows. “If you don’t agree with EVERYTHING we have to say, then we will disrupt your way of living until you comply with our demands.” We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. These people are nothing less than financial terrorists.
But here’s the thing. I don’t think they understand what a boycott is. The technical definition is, a “withdraw from commercial or social relations with (a country, organization, or person) as a punishment or protest.” Which is fine. They have every right to do business with who they please. They can recruit their hippie friends to join their boycott until the cows come home as well.
But they’re not doing this. Instead they are doing what they do best – bullying and harassing innocent people trying to make ends meet. The last couple days a bunch of our sponsors started getting harassing phone calls and emails from hippies all over because of this:
There you have it. Proof that these lovely specimens are encouraging their brilliants friends to harass innocent people who have committed the crime of participating in a capitalist society. And the best part is it’s all based on the outright LIE that Turtleboy Sports is a sexist and racist blog. We’re still waiting on any sort of evidence of our racism and/or sexism.
Two of these hippies are Jonathan Hardy Lavoie and Dana Remian. Dana was one of the “leaders” of Occupy Worcester. Remember them? The people who pitched tents at Lake Park and thought they were gonna start a revolution? How’d that turn out? Last I checked banks didn’t have a single aspect of their operations interrupted. You lose again hippies. But hey, Dana (pictured far left) did bury the Bill of Rights behind City Hall so I guess he did get SOMETHING done.
Jonathan Hardy-Lavoie is a real winner too.
And you know he’s not sexist, because he took his wife’s maiden name. Mrs. Turtleboy took the Turtleboy surname without the hyphen, so obviously that makes me a misogynist. Look, I don’t like doing this type of stuff. It’s low brow. But you people give us no choice. You’re hitting below the belt. You’re disrupting innocent, hard-working people’s lives. I’ll make a deal with you. Stop harassing innocent people, and we won’t dip into your private lives like this. No one deserves to be the victims of your bullying. These people have bills to pay and mouths to feed. And you’re trying to take that away from them because you don’t like a blog.
Here’s what his email had to say:
I’d like to register my disgust and disappointment with your company for advertising with Turtle Boy Sports. There is a growing resentment among those in the Worcester community towards this blog, the toxic sentiments it contains, and those who support such antagonistic expression. The sort of sexist, racist material that regularly is posted to that site is really something that you as a business might do well to distance yourself from. Please consider the impact your business has on Worcester and remember that hatred casts a long shadow.
The thing with Jonathan Hardy-Lavoie is, we don’t disagree on everything. As a turtle rider pointed out on Facebook yesterday, we both were passionate about saving the Chandler Magnet ball fields from becoming a Worcester State parking lot:
So he agrees with us on this topic, but disagrees with us on other topics. And for that reason he believes our site should be shut down and businesses who support us should be harassed repeatedly. Gotcha. Hey Jonny boy, you just proved my point. If EVERYONE doesn’t agree with EVERYTHING you say, then you bully them into submission. That’s what you people are all about.
Well guess what? Your act has worn thin with decent honest people. You’ve been able to get away with this because the people didn’t have an outlet to come together and take a stand against your insanity. Now we do. It’s called Turtleboy Sports, and you’re not gonna take that away from us.
But my favorite hippie rejection story comes from one of our sponsors, who was actually called on the phone today by an angry hippie who wasn’t planning on doing business with them anyway. The person said they were a “concerned citizen,” and “former teacher” that wanted to make them “aware” of Turtleboy’s debauchery.
Here’s the thing though. They messed with the wrong people. The person who answered the phone just happens to be an Eastern European immigrant. They grew up in a communist country. They know what REAL oppression is. Ya see in communism you don’t get to just open your own business. You also don’t get to speak freely or voice your opinions. If you do then you get locked up.
So you can imagine that anyone who grew up in this sort of society would value the sweet delicious freedom that America has to offer. When this “concerned citizen,” who actually thinks they know what oppression is, called our sponsor, they got some Eastern European style justice. Our sponsor told them that America is the land of the free and they are free to to advertise with whoever they want. Our sponsor told them that they’re acting like communists by trying to repress freedom of speech and freedom of the press.
This woman is my hero now. The final nail in the coffin was when the hippie told her that “We are concerned.” When the hippie was asked, “who is we?” they responded by saying, “I mean, I am.” AKA I saw a Facebook post and did as I was told.
But here’s the thing. This isn’t a boycott – it’s organized harassment and cyber-bullying. Cyberbullying is defined as “the use of information technology to repeatedly harm or harass other people in a deliberate manner.” They are undeniably guilty of this. Their emails and phone calls are repeatedly harassing our sponsors in a deliberate manner.
This isn’t a boycott. If it were they would simply not go to these establishments (which they never went to in the first place of course). But they realize that won’t do any good because there’s only a dozen or so of them and no one really cares if they don’t come. So instead their strategy is to harass and bully until our sponsors get sick of it and decide it’s not worth it to do business with Turtleboy.
Well guess what hippies? The bad guys don’t get to win. Because while you continue to bully and harass these innocent, hardworking, local members of your “community,” Turtleboy Nation will continue to give them more business than you can possibly imagine. I was at Smokestack last night. Packed. I went to lunch at Bennie’s Cafe today. Packed. Our sponsors are getting TONS of people who say they’re going there BECAUSE of your “boycott.” Don’t take my word for it, look at the bottom of this for proof:
And it’s all because of you. You did that. The same way Clive’s attempt to come at the Turtleboy drastically increased our readership, your attempt to come after our sponsors has increased their customer base.
See the thing is, you’re just not very good at anything at all. You are professional losers by trade. You’ve lost everything you’ve tried to do your entire lives. And instead of looking in the mirror and realizing that you’re a bunch of talentless chumps who need to get their shit together, you blame everybody but yourselves for your situation. Your excuses are long and never ending – racism, sexism, big banks, patriarchy, access to deodorant, etc. But at the end of the day you just plain suck at life and your boycott is one of the greatest epic fails of all time. You can’t beat us. You’re way out of your league. Do yourselves a favor and just surrender, because all you’re doing is helping Turtleboy and everyone affiliated with us out.
Never change hippies. Never change.
