Last week Turtleboy was on the Michelle McPhee show, 1510 WMEX in Boston. At some point during the show we started talking about our mutual distaste for Elizabeth Warren. In our opinion it’s pretty simple – she’s gotta go. But realistically she’s gonna be hard to take down in a state like this, so you need a likable candidate. And Curt Schilling ain’t that guy. Not that I mind Curt Schilling’s politics, but he’s just so polarizing, unpolished, and abrasive, so he’d have no chance of beating her. He’d basically be guaranteeing that we’re stuck with her embarrassing our state for six more years in Washington.

Well, apparently Curt did not like this:

What a child.

Too bad, because we’ve always been big Schilling supporters over here. And this won’t change anything, because unlike Curt we don’t take our ball and go home when someone says something we don’t like.

For the record, we’ve been saying since day one that Curt Schilling should’ve been a first ballot Hall of Famer. He is getting royally boned by a bunch of self-righteous, self-important mainstream media frauds who are keeping him out because they don’t like him personally.

The man has 217 wins, which is 2 less than Pedro Martinez, despite playing on much worse teams most of his career.

He has 3116 strikeouts, which is 15th all time, and only 38 behind Pedro. Every single person above him on the strikeout list is already in, and more than 50 people with less strikeouts than him are in.

Most importantly he has three World Series championships, and two of them he won in the most dramatic way possible – by taking out the New York Yankees in dramatic seven game series. Everyone remembers the bloody sock, but in 2001 he started three games in the World Series, struck out 26, didn’t lose a game, and won the World Series MVP. If winning matters at all to the Hall of Fame, then there’s no reason he shouldn’t be in. This isn’t some Trent Dilfer who won once because of his supporting cast. He won those rings because he put the team on his back, and his stellar regular season stats are more than good enough to carry him in.

We also supported him when he got fired from ESPN for espousing his far right wing points of view on social media. Especially since ESPN allows people like Jemele Hill, who have said far worse, stay on their network in the name of political correctness.

So yea, go fuck yourself Curt. Sorry we hurt your delicate naniburger feelings with the truth. You can’t beat Liz Warren. She’s a seasoned politician, and the incumbent democrat in a state that is overwhelmingly democratic. You’re an uncensored Internet yahoo, who is only a household name because you were such a good pitcher. She will eat you for lunch and you’ll make a fool of yourself along with conservatives as a whole. She’ll bring up the fact that you were featured in an ESPN 30 for 30 called “Broke” after you stole millions from the taxpayers of Rhode Island on a failed video game venture that left many unemployed. If she’s gonna go down then we need someone moderate and normal who doesn’t block media personalities on Twitter when their feelings get hurt.
