When Lt. Colonel Sherwood Baker tried to meet his daughter, who was sitting in the counseling office at her high school, the Army officer was denied entrance by school security. When Baker asked why he couldn’t enter the office building, security told him that the school’s policy does not allow military uniforms because it may ‘offend students.’
The incident occurred at Rochester Adams High School in Oakland County, MI near Detroit.
Sherwood’s wife, Rachel Ferhadson, was waiting in the car said that Barker was told he would not be allowed on school property unless he changed his attire. The security officer claimed that men and women dressed in uniform were not allowed on the campus.
“They told him some kids might not understand and might be offended. So they gave him a choice, told him he could phone in to the office or go home and change his clothes,” said Ferhadson.
Baker was told of the same policy by four individual staff members at the school.
This poor guy. Serves his country in Afghanistan and has to come home to God damn Detroit. Pretty sure that Kabul is where people from Detroit go on vacation.
So let me get this straight. On the 13th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, this genius school and their All-Star faculty of morons, decide they’re gonna deny entrance to a loving father because he is wearing the uniform of an organization that protects us from terrorists? Yea, that makes a shit ton of sense. Nice going dooshnozzles.
So many things wrong with this that I don’t know where to start. How about the fact that we cater to people who are “offended” by anything. Who the fuck is “offended” by an army uniform? ISIS and Al-Qaeda? Maybe. But I still think those assholes somewhat respect the uniform. Like, they know they’re in a world of shit when America goes over there to kick their ass. They know exactly who they’re fucking with.
You know what countries Al-Qaeda didn’t attack on September 11th? Canada, Mexico, and every other country in the world that doesn’t matter. Just us. Because deep down inside, as much as they hate us, they respect the shit out of us. They hate us because they ain’t us. They hate our smokeshow dance teams, our Netflix, and our all you can eat Chinese buffets with unlimited crab legs (sometimes). Because they’re really just repressed, angry morons who can’t get over the fact that they have to literally sit around and pound sand their whole lives in their crappy countries.
So my question is, if a terrorist can respect the uniform, then how come an American school can’t? Hey assholes, guess who pays for your school to function? Guess who makes sure that terrorists don’t go all Red Dawn on your America-hating school? The fine men and women in uniform who have dedicated their lives to protect your freedom to make stupid rules like this. #ironic
This is more typical bullshit with wussy kids. They made this rule because it “may offend students.” Ya got that? Now we’re making rules for things that MIGHT happen. It doesn’t matter that it hasn’t actually offended a SINGLE FUCKING PERSON. All that matters is that out there, somewhere, some spawn of a pacifist hippy COULD potentially be offended by this. Because that’s what America is all about. Making soldiers pretend that they’re not soldiers so that loser kids don’t go home and cry to their hippy parents.
Hey I got a question – who gives a shit if you’re offended by this? Since when does the world have to alter itself because of the long list of things that random people are offended by? You know what Mrs. Turtleboy gets offended by? When I spend an hour and a half in the bathroom writing a blog. But you don’t see her making up any stupid rules restricting my right as an American to take a massive smash. Because Mrs. Turtleboy respects America, and she’s not some communist like these imaginary kids in Michigan.
Hell some animal rights hippies might be offended by this:
Doesn’t mean I’m gonna stop riding the shit out my turtle till the cows come home!!
I got an idea. Next person that gets offended by a veteran in uniform has to spend their spring break in some ISIS controlled village in Iraq. Then when American forces show up to liberate the place and the hippy love child starts running to them with open arms – BOOM – feed them ISIS. They’d probably fit in well with them actually. ISIS and hardcore Islamic militants are generally offended by everything. That’s why women get stoned to death for driving a car in every country where disputes are settled by what God supposedly said.
But the biggest problem here isn’t the rule itself – it’s the “rules are rules” crowd. These people are an absolute scourge on society. There is nothing worse than a person who can’t use common sense to figure out which rules they have to enforce and which rules they don’t. Like, if a restaurant has a no free refill policy, and I refill my cup anyway, you don’t have to do shit if you work there. You don’t get a raise if you stop me. No one commends you. Just look the other way and move on with your life.
Same goes with these idiot faculty members and rent-a-cops. They should’ve realized that this is a moronic rule that doesn’t have to be followed. Somehow it got snuck into the rule book and no one wants to change it because it’s too much of a hassle to print out 1,500 of those booklets they give you on the first day of school. So it’s generally been accepted that you just disregard that rule. But nope. Not with Officer Blumpkin on the scene.
So yea, thanks for hating America and disgracing your country on the anniversary of the worst civilian attack in American history. Keep up the good work Rochester Adams High School. We’ll keep loving the greatest country that’s ever existed over here at TBSports.

This is actually illegal. This was litigated 45 years ago — in the 60s, in Tinker v. Des Moines’ board of education (You can look it up). But one hardly has to tell turtleboy that educational bureaucrats are the dumbest bureaucrats there are. Maybe if he’d banged some students they’d be happier with him.
Since when did we start giving a sh!t about high school kids being offended? You get an opinion when you start paying taxes…til then, shut yer pie hole!!
Who in this school system came up with this crazy no uniforms rule?

Best line ever – “Kabul is where people from Detroit go on a vacation.”
Anyway, every time I hear the word “offensive” I’m pretty sure I have a seizure. Can we toughen up a little bit? Since when did we become so sensitive to everything? It’s like telling this student, “Sorry, you can’t be proud of your dad.”
If this is the case then people can’t wear burkas or kippahs or saris… give me a break.
I am tired of minority political correct dip shits as well! Well said!
