Turtleboy LOVES the Summer Olympics. Could literally sit on my couch all day and watch Malaysia vs. Singapore in ping pong, Australia vs. Great Britain in indoor cycling, or watch the woman from Qatar attempt to run the 100 meters in 25 seconds while fully clothed in a gigantic bed sheet. But alas, Turtleboy has Directv. Because when you live in Worcester and Charter is your only other option, you kind of have no choice. It sucks when there’s a bad storm, but other than that it’s pretty solid.
Yup, there will be no Olympics on Directv in 2016 because they’re in a pissing contest with NBC affiliate WHDH. Before this chick fight began on July 20 Directv was urging people to call up WHDH and get them to settle. Newsflash Directv – no one is going to blame WHDH if they can’t watch the Olympics. Everyone will blame you. I don’t care what the details are, so stop trying to get us to do your job for you. Figure out a solution so we can watch the freaking Olympics. And stop sharing shit like this:
I’d love to watch the DNC coverage on NBC, but then again there’s this:
Oops!!!
What’s a Turtleboy to do? Is our family honestly in the position where we have to go back to Charter? Because missing the Olympics is out of the question. We’d go over Grandma Turtleboy’s house to watch it, but she’s got Directv too. You have to figure this is affecting hundreds of thousands of people in this state. If they cannot resolve this by the opening ceremonies it’s probably the dumbest business decision they could ever make. Get your shit together Directv.
We urge you to support the Turtleboy Sponsors by doing business with them. Without them none of this is possible. Click on any of them to check out their sites or Facebook pages.

Great !!
This is very attention-grabbing, You’re an excessively skilled blogger.
I’ve joined your rss feed and sit up for in quest of extra of your magnificent post.
Also, I’ve shared your website in my social networks
I once had DirecTV and I thought it was okay. At least the guy who came to install it was pretty sexy lol. I wanted to give him a tip but he didn’t accept. I felt kind of guilty because I’m normally a house wife who plays it safe but hey, he was cute! Kinda chunky but better than what I already have I guess as mean as that sounds.
What the hell did you do to Fiesty’s dog?
Don’t you dare! My dog is so godamned cute… I’m like a weird dog lady. I treat him like a human…lol
Just get the OLympics app and sign in with your direct tv account and you will be able to get the channel
We just dumped DirecTV after 17 years. They didn’t even TRY to retain us as customers. Now they call us about 3 times a week to ask us back. Eff them!!!!
Two of my neighbors had Directv. They both got rid of it for several reasons, unmentioned surprise fees, bad to no reception during storms and for what I saw poor installation with cables running on the outside of their houses looking pretty shabby.
I’d love it if Fios came here. I’d take a look at that but not really a big Verizon fan. I do charter bundle with phone, internet, all major premiums, got rid of verizon phone service except for the house alarm service saving about 60 to 70 bucks a month and was still able to keep the same phone number.
Charter used to really suck years ago and was always having problems. Service used to be always interrupted or completely going in a black out. But in the last two to three years they have cleaned up their shit. Not last winter because it was mild but the two previous real bad winters we never lost service one time. I was surprised.
I heard you suck a few years back always finished never spit. All dealers loved you.
It’s on NBC. NBC broadcasts locally. Get a HD antenna and watch it free over the air. Could you really not figure out this was a viable option?
Turd, if your tv hangs on the wall and all your wires are behind the Sheetrock, how the hell do you install this antenna? Call an electrician,a drywaller,a painter and a get the guy from Best Buy to come put it back up for you?
There must be an easier way.
About 5 years ago I had Direct TV. They came on a warm August day. Installed it. Work fine. 4 hours later the damn thing went black. I called. Lady said ” it appears that you have heavy cloud cover”….
I said ” I need it fixed”
Her ” I can get someone out there on Tuesday”
I said ” They can take it out of here on Tuesday then. I have 4 grandchildren here and I can see this isn’t going to work for me”.
REALLY TUESDAY. TOOK ME 3 DAYS TO KNOW IT’S NOT FOR ME
Here’s a cheap solution. Get a $20 antenna and set it up. It gets most of your basic channels, CBS and NBC included in HD.
My grandfather had that argument with direct TV this weekend, he now has enbc or something, I wanna say channel 362 out of new York for $2.50 a month
The Olympics suck. With any luck, this will be the final one.
