If You Think Firing NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Over Ray Race-Gate Is The Answer To Anything, You Are a Moron

So with all this Ray Rice baby momma drama in the news all I’m hearing is about how Roger Goodell is like public enemy number one now and how he should be fired. Let me just explain something to you people. If you think firing Goodell is going to make an ounce of difference, or that he even deserves to be fired, then you should just go back to playing with your Barbie dolls.

Goodell works for the owners of the 32 NFL teams. He is their puppet. He says absolutely nothing that they don’t approve of. It’s his job to cover up all of their bullshit. If you think for one second that Roger Goodell had any sort of say in how and why the Ray Rice video should be covered up, then you and I are gonna take a ride on my magical turtle to check out my horse ranch in Nantucket.

In case you haven’t heard by now, the NFL knew about the tape of Ray Rice knocking his ghetto-fabulous fiance out in an Atlantic City elevator a long, long time ago. Some cop sent the tape to the NFL. Turns out the guy was SO sure the NFL would cover it up that he saved the voicemail that he received back from an unknown female, confirming they received the tape. On the voicemail she of course said, “You’re right, it’s terrible!!”

What do you think happened when that got to Goodell? Simple. He called all 32 of his bosses (the NFL owners) and asked them what they wanted him to do. The Ravens obviously wanted it covered up. Every other team has a closet full of dead hookers, so they were obviously down for the cover up too. These people will protect the brand at all costs.

But Goodell had absolutely no say in this. It’s not his job to offer opinions. He’s a $40 million shield for owners. Make no doubt about it – he is their bitch. Why do you think Bob Kraft IMMEDIATELY came out and defended him? For fuck sake he said about Goodell: The way he has handled this situation himself, I thought was excellent,”

Ummmmm, hello? Unless you’re smoking crack you can’t possibly say that anything about the way the Ray Rice story has been handled has been “excellent.” What the fuck was excellent about it? The coverups and denials that KEEP getting disproven by random whistle blowers? The two game suspension? The fact that they only seem to react when the media gets pissed off? Please, Bob Kraft, tell me what was excellent about this?

The truth of the matter is that Kraft and his 31 buddies use Goodell to be the public’s whipping boy, so of course they have his back. Because if he doesn’t take the heat then the public will go after them. He’s THEIR guy.

Speaking of Kraft, what happens if this is Tom Brady knocking out Giselle in an elevator? Does anyone honestly believe this anonymous cop from AC has any chance of surviving if he pulls a move like this with a higher profile player? LOL.

Or here’s a situation that would’ve been fun. How about Michael Sam knocking out his little dime piece? Are gay dudes allowed to beat their wives? What’s the ruling on that? Do gay NFL players in the future have to register whether or not they are the husband or the wife? I’m not even being facetious. Because Michael Sam would absolutely demolish that little dago bastard. Can he punch him in the face and it be cool because he’s a dude? Aya caramba!! What a nightmare that one’s gonna be when it inevitably happens.

Here’s the bottom line. Everyone needs to simma down with all this fire Goodell nonsense. Do you people realize that will solve absolutely nothing? That’s probably what they’re gonna end up doing just to appease you nudniks. But then they’ll just hire some other stooge to take his place. So just look past Goodell and realize that the real problem here are the men behind the curtain.

You need to get on D and C or Felger and Mazz and speak on this. They sure are speaking on what “the people” seem to want.

Meehan and I just posted six reasons why Goodell should have been fired a long time ago, but it will never happen until he either finds a way to dry up the river of cash the NFL floats on, or until the owners need a politically expedient “fall guy.”

I want him to be fired for being a pompous ass and defootballizing football. This is just a perfect opportunity to make that happen.

What’s the point? So the owners can replace him with another pompous ass? Goodell is nothing more than a puppet. You’re going after the wrong guy and you’re doing EXACTLY what the owners want you to do – not looking at them.

I disagree, the owners first and foremost don’t want to be bothered. They just want someone to make the decisions, they don’t actually care what they are. It doesn’t take a genius to run the NFL in a non dictatorial fashion that makes sense. It just takes someone smarter than Roggie Rog.
