SI: Five African-American members of the SMU’s marching band kneeled during the playing of the national anthem before Friday night’s game against TCU, according to Grant McGalliard of the Dallas Morning News. Coda Boyce, a student in attendance at the game, also knelt during the national anthem and offered an explanation for her protest.
“I’m not against all police officers, I’m not saying all cops are bad, I’m not saying all Caucasian people are bad, because they’re not,” Boyce said. “I just believe that the injustice being shown in the past couple of years has been too much to handle. And I’m a little tired of it.”
Don’t even wanna write about these stunts anymore because it’s so three weeks ago and everyone who is doing it at this point is just participating in a viral fad. But I just couldn’t go without pointing out that this idiot is protesting the very same song that he’s playing. Thinks of the stupidity behind that. He hates this song and what it stands for so much, but yet he’s the one playing the song. It wouldn’t be heard if he didn’t blow into his instrument. Brilliant.
And I’m sorry, but what kind of dude plays the flute? Everyone knows the flute is for chicks. Some instruments are coed, like the saxophone, clarinet, and maybe even the trumpet. But other instruments aren’t meant to be so transgender. Tubas are for dudes, and flutes are for chicks.
The more I think about this the more I realize that the only way to beat these idiots is to join them. Everyone should take a knee for the anthem. After all, kneeling is the ultimate form of reverence, right? You kneel at church, at proposals, and when you meet the King of France. All these nudniks are doing it for attention because they’ll stand out. So just take that away from them by doing the same thing they do. Boom. Problem solved.
