Apparently there are child abducting human traffickers roaming the aisles of Toys R Us in Leominster…..

Just to review…..

  • Mom was at Toys R Us with her 9 and 6 year old kids and she busted out the flip phone (in 2017) to take a picture of legos, when she saw a guy looking at them from down the aisle. Naturally she reached the conclusion that he was there to snatch him a kid!!
  • Even though her flip phone can take pictures she failed to take a picture of the kiddy snatcher.
  • The oily, elderly man made eye contact and she wisely alerted the children that they were being targeted for kidnapping.
  • She pulled a bunch of juke moves in the store like she was Dion Lewis before giving into her kid’s desire to look at more toys, when out popped kidnapper #2 – a 250 pound man with a black beard.
  • She was not scared of this man because he looked like her husband, which makes TONS of sense.
  • He said nothing but his body language made it clear that he intended to snatch her delicious child.
  • The 250 pound was taking notes, which made her realize he was teaming up with the elderly man from before.
  • She took her kids to customer service and told the person there that they were being followed by two kidnappers, and I would’ve paid good money to see the reaction of the person in customer service.
  • She then made a huge mistake – sprinting to her car without getting an escort first. Because as she pointed out, human traffickers usually have someone waiting in the parking lot. Luckily she did survive the ordeal and is now able to talk about.

Nowhere in that story did she do what most normal people would do if something like this actually happened to them – call the cops. But she did tell customer service, so, problem solved.

The story did get shared thousands of times so eventually the Leominster PD had to investigate:

First, let’s be perfectly clear here – this woman is obviously lying. That’s not even up for debate. Like, it’s not even remotely close to being believable and only a complete moron wouldn’t have figured that out immediately.

But there are no shortage of morons in the twin cities….

Good point Devin. Stuff like this happens all the time. Tons of kids get snatched by strangers at Walmart. I saw it on an episode of SVU, and everyone knows those are based off of true stories.

Oh, and if you doubt this story then you are victim blaming:

The second you utter the words, “spreading hate,” you officially become a joke, and I stop taking anything you have to say seriously.

Newsflash – you can’t engage in “victim blaming” if there’s no victim. One of two things happened here:

  1. She made the entire thing up for attention.
  2. She actually saw two guys in Toys R Us who were shopping for Christmas when she convinced herself they were kidnappers and then made a fool of herself by reporting them to customer service and making a beeline for the parking lot.

My guess is the former. But Dawn didn’t think that was possible:

Ummmm….because she didn’t call the police. They found out after her Facebook post went viral. But yea, once again, anyone who doubts this story is “spreading hate and mocking people.” Definitely.

Then there was this:

Ahh yes, the “unless you were there you can’t say nothing” line. Right out of the ratchet manual. But please tell me more about how making a story and causing a stir is “raising awareness.” What exactly should we be aware of now? Elderly people in Toys R Us? Yea, now we all know that when we see strange men shopping around Christmas time our gut instinct should tell us that they are there to kidnap and sell our children into sex slavery.

You also can’t believe the police who haven’t found anything legitimate about this story, nor can you believe the Toys R Us employees who claim it never happened. They’re all lying as part of a huge coverup. They’re all in on it!! Better to believe the random lady on the Internet.

Smartest move this lady made was not having pictures on her Facebook page, because this story is like a Turtleboy free lunch. This woman’s obvious lie was a waste of taxpayer resources, as the cops are looking trough surveillance video instead of trying to stop, ya know, real crimes.

Oh, and if you’re gonna pull an attention seeking scam like this, you should at least be original and come up with your own lie. She literally stole this story from a woman in California who faked a human trafficking incident at IKEA for attention:

A few days ago, my mom and I took the kids (I have 3 kids. A daughter who is 4, and two sons, 1.5 years and 7 weeks) to IKEA … We were in the couch section and the kids were enjoying climbing on each couch and trying them out … I noticed a well dressed, middle aged man circling the area, getting closer to me and the kids. At one point he came right up to me and the boys, and instinctively I put myself between he and my mobile son. I had a bad feeling. He continued to circle the area, staring at the kids. He occasionally picked something up, pretending to look at it but looking right over at us instead. My mom noticed as well and mentioned that we needed to keep an eye on him. We moved on… and so did he. Closely. My son wandered into one of the little display rooms across from the couches and I followed him closely with my baby strapped to me. My mom said she watched as the older man dropped what he was doing and quickly and closely followed us into the area. At the same time, she noticed another man dressed more casually and in his 20s. He wasn’t looking at us, but was walking the same circling pattern around us as the first man. My mom and I decided to sit down and wait for them to move on. We had a gut feeling something was going on, but we hoped we were wrong and they would move on. So we sat in one of the little display rooms. For close to 30 minutes. And they sat too. They sat down on one of the couches on the display floor that faced us. That was when we knew our gut feeling was right and something was off. They sat the whole time we sat, and stood up right as we got up. We continued on and my mom turned around and realized the two men had moved and were sitting only one couch away from each other, still facing our direction. The older man was still watching us. She made eye contact… very clearly letting them know that we saw them. And we moved on. We managed to lose them at that point. (We talked with an employee, circled back and used the bathroom and went out into a different section). But still kept the kids right with us the whole time. I kept the baby in the sling which kept my hands free and my eyes too. I didn’t have to keep an eye on the stroller AND two kids… I just had to watch my older ones. When we got through the maze of IKEA, we reported what happened to security.

These men weren’t shopping. While they walked around the store, they weren’t looking at things… not really. The older man would occasionally pick something up and act like he was looking at it, but he’d look right over the top of it at my kids. Then he’d drop it and move on as soon as we did.

They weren’t waiting for anyone. Often you see men in a place like IKEA waiting for their wives, but these guys appeared to be alone. They didn’t even talk to each other. They didn’t talk to anyone. They didn’t smile casually at people (in fact, early on, I looked at the older guy when he got close to us and smiled… which is something I do regularly when I’m out.. I’m always making eye contact with people. He instantly looked away. That was odd to me).

They were dressed nicely but very differently. I would never have put these two together. And they didn’t appear to be together.

The area they were hanging around had an exit right by it. IKEA is a massive confusing maze of a store. But they could have run out that exit with my child and handed them off to someone waiting outside and been gone before I could find them.

Something was off. We knew it in our gut. I am almost sure that we were the targets of human trafficking. This is happening all over. Including the United States. It’s in our backyards. I’m reading more and more about these experiences and it’s terrifying. If not that, something else shady was obviously going on. Either way, as parents, we NEED to be aware.

Please PLEASE be aware when you’re out with your children. It’s not the time to be texting or facebooking or chatting on the phone. When you’re in a public place with your kids, please be aware and present so that you don’t become a victim. Had I not been paying attention that day… or had I let my kids roam and play while I checked my phone… I may have lost one. The thought just makes me completely ill. (Especially because I’ve been guilty of this!)

Something was not okay here. This was not a situation that I misunderstood. Do I know 100% what harm these men intended? No. I’m taking an educated guess based on how things played out and what I know. But even if I am wrong about their specific intentions… I KNOW they were up to something and focused on me and my children.

Snopes has determined that this was a lie. Ya got that? Not only did she plagiarize someone else’s story, she didn’t even bother to find out if there was any truth to it.

All stories like this do is get Moms all fired up about things that obviously aren’t gonna happen. You live in Leominster. Your kids aren’t worth kidnapping. Maybe if this was the Toys R Us in Sudbury you’d be onto something. But no one’s taking a kid in Leominster because human traffickers don’t accept food stamps. Everyone knows that.

She flipped out and told a lie. Her story just doesn’t make sense as if something was omitted. If those two men were posing a threat to her children, the drama queen would have asked for an escort or put her flip phone to use and ring 911.

No one has heard of an over protective mother? Maybe even a little paranoid…If you’re a mother and have been at a store alone, seen 2 guys who seem to be following you and your kids..Im sure you would be sketched out too.

Why is TB changing the way they write their articles now?
I think sticking with the criminals is the way to go, because those actually catch people’s attention.
These recent articles are just garbage, and are doing nothing but trashing people who don’t deserve it. Writing about teenagers yelling at cops. (who cares, that shit happens every day)
    Especially this mother.
If you say she made this up for attention, then why are you giving it to her?

She unwittingly took up police resources because she wanted attention from her dopey Facebook friends.

She wanted attention and she got it.

      Don’t. Poke. The. Turtle.

TBS conclusion — kids are never kidnapped in Leominster because your kids aren’t worth kidnapping and kidnappers don’t take food stamps .
Wow , TBS, yet another new level of stupidity. Do you honestly think kids are kidnapped for ransom ?
    Are you that dim?
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (citing U.S. Department of Justice reports), nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year. That’s more than 2,000 a day. The NCMEC says 203,000 children are kidnapped each year by family members.“
Another 20 percent are taken by strangers.

To say “don’t worry about it. Quit being so overly cautious. Your kid will never be kidnapped “ shows you to be a moron.
It also shows that you have no children of your own and if, by some weird happenstance, you found someone to procreate with, a call should pribabaly be made to DCFS because they are clearly not safe .

Was this particular story true ? Apparently not.
But is raising awareness a good thing? You bet.
You need to be vigilant in protecting your kids every day. Only one mistake, one error, can lead to a tragedy you have to live with the rest of your life .

Stick with politics and Sports TBS…. when it comes to family, you’re out of your depth.

errr.. okay, Mr. Bill… how bout you go start your own fucking blog and do just that shit, ya dumbshit?

seems a more logical solution than hopping on some OTHER dude’s business and telling him how to run that shit!

this is the best line of the whole blog:

“He said nothing but his body language made it clear that he intended to snatch her delicious child.”

how can you not lol Mister Bill? THATS PURE GOLD!!!

      Suck it Bill Gilman.

“Was this particular story true ? Apparently not. But is raising awareness a good thing? You bet.”

According to your logic, I can go on Facebook and claim I was gang raped and left for dead. As long as I am raising awareness – it’s good thing, right? I’m spreading information that rape is bad.

What if I go on Facebook and tell everyone a black woman attacked me in a parking lot and called me “Becky”. I’m just raising awareness for racism. It didn’t happen – but it could have.

“citing U.S. Department of Justice reports), nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year. That’s more than 2,000 a day. ”

You’re incorrectly using real statistics and numbers to “prove” unrelated claims. What you’re doing is called “Misleading vividness — The mere fact that an event is particularly vivid or dramatic does not make the event more likely to occur, especially in the case of significant statistical evidence.”.

Get off Facebook and spend time with your kids. You make zero sense.

      You’re welcome dingbat.

      Fondly,
      Finn

Lately it seems like the material that’s been posted has been written by a high school cry baby. Stick to reporting real news and about stupid criminals. Do they even make flip phones anymore? The last time I had one of those my kid was in kindergarten and now she is an adult, and I couldn’t take pictures with it. I think the only cool thing it did (at the time I thought it was cool) was that it had a speakerphone. Even Obama doesn’t give out flip phones I don’t think.

    • flip phones are the cure for smart phones
      December 17, 2017 at 9:27 am

After carrying a brick smart phone for years, I went back to a flip phone.

Love it, tiny and fits in my shirt pocket or pants pocket with wallet, does txt, internet, whatever you need. I don’t need apps. Easy to dial, no auto correct, battery lasts forever, charge once a week at most, cold doesn’t screw it all up, off when closed = no butt dialing, no massive screen to scratch or break.
