What a gem by Fox25 today. They’re going for the holiday feels in this one, but turtle riders are very clever (and attractive) so they didn’t fall for this nonsensical pile of dog poo.
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Ten months after a fire destroyed Tiffany Staffier’s apartment in Southbridge she’s still searching for options as she lives in her car in a parking garage.
Along with her companion, Kenny, and three dogs, Staffier’s car has been home. She says it’s partly by choice, but partly by a lack of choices.
“It is so stressful and depressing knowing that I’m 26 and living in my car,” she said. “It’s the hardest thing to deal with.”
The Red Cross and family members helped in the immediate days after the fire, someone even donated a camper. But by last summer options had dwindled to three cylinders.
“Something I never wanted to come to terms with. My home is a parking garage,” she said.
Living in a car invites the kind of compromises that can keep you stuck. For example, Tiffany drives Kenny to his part-time job in Worcester, but says she couldn’t keep her former job as a home health care aide because she has no one to take care of her three beloved dogs.
The dogs have created complications and invited questions, but she says she can’t get rid of them because “my dogs are my world.”
The world inside the Mitsubishi is in plain sight, but, in truth it’s invisible to much of the other world that’s about to celebrate Christmas.
“My family loved Christmas. And the fact I’m going to be in a car for Christmas is heartbreaking,” Staffier said.
Staffier said they were just approved last week for a housing voucher in Worcester county worth $840 for a two-bedroom apartment. The only problem is they say they have not been able to find such an apartment for that price, most especially one that will accept pets.
So let me get this straight… This woman intentionally left her job to instead spend her time trapped in a sedan smelling dog farts all day?
I feel no pity for this one. This is homelessness BY CHOICE. At this point the fire has nothing to do with it.- 10 months later these people could be basically back on their feet, just without a herd of dogs. But I guess when you’re looking for handouts, you gotta commit to the act.
I get it, dogs are family. I’ve had to give up a dog before. I ugly cried for a while, but the dog is totally fine and I didn’t have to live in a car with 200 lbs of smelly dog ass. Can you imagine opening the door on that crusty ride?
Meet the delusional cheesehog behind this canine drama, Tiffany Staffier.
This is pure selfishness. Not only is it insane for a person to choose to live like this, those dogs would be better off in an actual residence where they don’t have to drink water from the same bottles their owners piss in. Maybe a place that sees sunlight too.
This woman is being offered $840 to find an apartment. Are you kidding me? You can DEFINITELY find an apartment for $840. NO, you won’t get to keep your doggy-woggys, but you’ll have a roof, heat, electricity, and running water. It’s insane that she is even being offered that much considering she is VERY capable of working. I didn’t know choosing to be homeless, broke, and unemployed entitled you to so much!
Tiffany has been a busy little cheesehog searching for pity all over the Facebook galaxy. And some sympathetic saps have been trying to
help enable her.
And in a shocking turn of events, there’s a Gofundme! It was created 8 months after the fire and is already over $500. I can’t wait to see how many fools donate after Fox25’s abortion of an article.
Dogs are not babies. BABIES are babies.
Side note- do you know how inexpensive renter’s insurance is? It is insane not to have it. And yes, there are even companies that will allow you to have it with a pit bull as a pet.
There is just so much that doesn’t make sense here. Someone GAVE this twat a camper and she chose to live in her car so she can continue spooning with dogs and create a Gofraudme? Then she lost her job because she had car trouble? But I thought she quit because no one could care for her “beloved dogs”.
I’m not buying any of this.
