Worcester’s semi-pro football team Mass Fury begins it’s title defense in just two weeks, with their July 11 opener against the Eastern Mass Seminoles. Like we’ve said before, this is high quality football in your backyard. Kickoff for the Saturday night game is at 7:00 at Worcester State. Why wouldn’t you go? It’s an awesome community event and a great place to have a night out with the family.
And just for Turtleboy readers Mass Fury is offering a special ticket package – two tickets, two hot dogs, $20. Can’t beat it. Here’s a link to buy the tickets online. They’re also offering a Turtleboy season ticket package discount, which we highly recommend because after you see them destroy this group of rag tags on Saturday July 11, you’re gonna wanna come back to see their next four home games.
Anyway, they beat the bag out of this team last year 20-7 in the playoffs. The Seminoles are known for their hard nosed defense, but Mass Fury has the best quarterback in the league in Worcester State record holder Corey Spencer. But the Seminoles switched quarterbacks and running backs this season, so they could potentially be packing a high powered offense as well. Either way, you’re gonna see a great show. More than likely the Seminoles are gonna a face full of throws like this all game:
Sick.
The Seminoles are kind of like the Peyton Manning’s of the Eastern Football League. Dominant in the regular season, suckbag city in the playoffs. Last season they finished with the best overall record and got the #1 seed. And what happened in the first round of the playoffs? This:
If you’re a football fan and you wanna see the quality of talent we’re dealing with here, check out some of this video of the recap of last year’s emasculating victory for Mass Fury:
Unfortunately for the viewing public the Seminoles have gotten rid of their Jared Lorenzan lookalike quarterback. I’ve never seen a quarterback wear #68 before, but if I did I would imagine he would look like this:
Glorious. Word is that this is actually one of the more respectful teams in the league and they don’t normally talk trash. Still didn’t stop this guy from insisting that his team, which lost 20-7, was the “better team”
Is that you Terrell Suggs? Shots fired!!!
But like we said, this team is a regular season diva. And they’re gonna be pissed off coming into this game because Mass Fury broke their hearts last year. Pretty much the best local entertainment you’ll ever see. Come on down to Worcester State on July 11 to support your hometown football team.

Isn’t this the team that didn’t allow the Fury to pass the 50 yard line for 3 quarters in the regular season??
I think they held them to a season low in points as well…
Then in the playoffs the Fury have a few cough cough guys come back from “injuries” and help them win…
Smh
