Every year the Kiwani’s Club in Medford puts on a 5k to raise money for the Medford school system. It’s a good cause and usually gets a great turnout. The premise is that some people choose to dress as prisoners, and others dress as cops, and by raising money you are bailing them out of jail. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves and the Kiwani’s donate all the money directly back to the schools.

What’s not to like, right?

Well, the Kiwani’s may have good intentions, but they forgot to check their privilege first…..

Uh-oh, I see where this one is going. Jail, in and of itself, is offensive. This is what we’re dealing with here:

So we all know what she’s about just by looking at her. Because the biggest lie your teachers and parents ever told you is that you can’t judge a book by its cover. The cover is literally the most accurate and important part of the book. And this woman’s face just screams, “I am here to check your privilege in order to try to impress people of color.”

Let’s see where they go with this one….

Nope. Turns out it’s just part of the pre-prison industrial complex. That’s a thing now I guess. And if you think this is a light hearted event, well, you’re wrong. Because all these people who are NOT going to the event say so. Obviously Drew Merrill, a member of the BLT-123 community, knows a lot about the plight of the African-American community, and can speak on behalf of them:

And as Rachel Tanenhaus points out, only white people find jail amusing. As you can imagine, she will NOT be attending the 5K.

Shocking, I know.

Nevertheless, the only people who can speak on behalf of the African-American community in Medford are white social justice warriors like this. Black people would never participate in this racist event.

Finally someone  who actually was a person of color chimed in with her thoughts about how racist the event is….

Oh wait, she likes it. Turns out white uber-liberals don’t actually speak for all minorities. But the fact that they’re attempting to is totally NOT racist of them.

Oh wait, yes it is. As usual the biggest racists in the room are ALWAYS the white guilt laden SJWs who cripple people of color with the curse of lowered expectations.

Everyone’s racist except for the chick who speaks on behalf of black people who never asked her to speak on their behalf!!

SJWs love to tell us that people of color need to be listened to. That their experiences should always be taken at face value, and that white people need to check their privilege and let them speak. But evidently that only applies to people of color who say what white SJWs want them to say. Cheryl, the lone minority in the the conversation and an elected official, was told by Woke Jello that she was “anti-community” for participating in this racist event:

Yea, didn’t you get the memo? She worked for two year’s at the DA’s office, and now she runs “major arts events” all over the COUNTRY!! She’s a God Damn white, American hero. And she will not be spoken to like that by someone with a last name that ends in Z. Mindy appreciates you silencing this woman of color, who dared to speak out in favor of a community event you’ve never attended though Jello.

Dragqueef Drew was next in line to lecture poor Cheryl about her lack of wokeness…..

Zey’s the one who should be lecturing you about race relations. Obviously nonbinary noodlestick knows more about what it’s like to be a person of color than you do.

They’ve evidently begun a letter writing campaign and want the city to cancel the event. Normally I’d just laugh at them, but Medford has the stink of Cambridge and Somerville on it. This is a city that just a couple weeks ago changed a polling place from the VFW because of a controversial banner stating “All Lives Matter” they chose to hang up.

The Medford VFW will no longer be the polling location for Ward 8, Precinct 2 due to its “All Lives Matter” banner, the city council decided this week. The council voted unanimously Tuesday to move the polling place from the VFW to the senior center, where Ward 8, Precinct 1 votes, according to the Medford Transcript. The NAACP recently renewed calls to remove the sign ahead of the upcoming 2018 election. In a letter to city officials dated Aug. 13, Mystic Valley NAACP President Zane Crute wrote that the organization believes the banner constitutes a political sign and is inappropriate for a polling place.

“The All Lives Matter slogan has been used as a way to attempt to silence and refute the Black Lives Matter movement,” Crute wrote. “Moreover, All Lives Matter turns a blind eye to the epidemic of police brutality and lack of legal accountability for the police officers across the United States who have repeatedly used lethal force in non-life-threatening situations against communities of color.”

The letter asked that the banner be “covered or taken down” on Election Day or the polling location be moved.

This is not The Onion. In real life, a City Council unanimously voted to punish a veteran’s hall for a banner that said that every human being’s life has value. Because veterans fight in wars, and on the battle field all people are treated the same regardless of color. And when America goes to war in places like Iraq and Afghanistan we are doing so in a sometimes failed attempt to improve the lives of brown people who practice Islam. And even though black lives matter is literally encompassed inside of the phrase all lives matter, the phrase is still racist.

So ya never know in Medford. I’d like to think that the City Council wouldn’t take Jello and BLT-123 too seriously. But based on their recent actions nothing would surprise me. They’ve already targeted a veteran’s hall, why not go after the public schools next?
