While experts in police brutality all over the country have explained to us all why Ben Fields should be fired for “attacking” the defiant student who thought that rules did not apply to her, the kids at Spring Valley High School in South Carolina apparently think otherwise. Gawker and the other outlets spread the lies and propaganda that this was a racial incident and that students want him out of there. Turns out the kids actually seem to want him back. As a matter of fact they held a walk out today to support him. Which is ironic because if the bratty girl had just walked out of class none of this would’ve ever happened. Did I mention that the majority of kids participating in this happen to be black?
Well, this is interesting.

But apparently these kids are just morons. At least they are to some genius named Tariq Nasheed, who, according to Wikipedia is an “American author, documentary film producer, media personality, satirist, Internet radio host, relationship expert, and social commentator, focusing on the psychology of dating and African-American social history.” Whatever that means. Here’s what he had to say about it:
Yea kids, don’t you realize that by voicing your opinions and supporting the police that this makes you a slave? You just don’t know it though. Trust this stranger on the Internet, he knows what’s best for you. You’re not allowed to support the police. You are required to support asshole kids who defy their teachers, principals, and the police. And if you are ever arrested for something, make sure you resist arrest and have someone film it. Because you increase your chances of getting hurt and becoming the hippies new heartthrob.
And for anyone who thinks this cop deserves to be hired, just understand that you’re supporting a dangerous precedent here. The girl resisted and she got hurt. The lesson should be, don’t resist. But instead it was a lesson to police that they’re better off never intervening with kids. See a fight? Let them kill each other. See a bad guy doing something illegal? Let him go. See a kid refusing to leave a class? Fuck it, no one else has a right to learn. Because at the end of the day you have a family and bills to pay and you know damn well that an online mob can get you fired over a 15 second video clip with no context.

It’s pretty messed up that you’d use that sort of language on an article about black people. Granted, it was directed at a white person, but still that phrase was used/is still used a lot in reference to slaves or black people.
Decriminalize slavery and we can get right to it.
