We have yet another shitty tenant scam coming from yet another welfare-laden wasteland – this time, it’s New Bedford, and the excuse is the #1 cause of ratchet homelessness.
No, not racism, although that is a close runner up. Nope, this time its……
Of course it’s mold. Hopeless shitholes like New Bedford, Taunton and Fall River have a special kind of mold – the blackest of black mold. Ghetto Black Mold. As a courtesy and public service, I have put together a little pamphlet to help identify if you are the victim of ghetto black mold in your current residence:
Ah, yes. Ghetto black mold. If these lazy, entitled, shady professional tenants had a motto, it would be, “all mold is black mold.” And mysteriously, even after the landlord cleans the mold, it’s still a problem. Every single time. Not in Nicky’s case, though, I’m sure of it. I’m sure she’s a good, upstanding citizen and model tenant who did NOT get kicked out for not paying rent. …Right?
Oh, I guess she owed $1,308.36 in rent and got kicked out for not paying. Go figure. And look at this, faster than you can say “Rent withholding for mold issues”, I found 2 more evictions on her record from the last six years.
Seems legit. Definitely a slumlord issue here, and not a habitually bad tenant or anything. Just look at this girl, she is the epitome of class and responsible living:

The thing that kills me about these people, is how entitled they feel to a pristine, rent free existence. No matter how low their section 8 portions are, they are always to high. “$50 a month?! How will I feed my kids with only $600 a month in foodstamps with rent like that!”
“Paint peeling in the kitchen, or loose floorboards on the porch? I pay good rent for this place!”
What makes you more deserving than the average person? Your supreme budgeting skills and grasp of the English language? Or maybe your DTA waiting room endurance?
There is exactly 0.0% chance that in the insanely pro-tenant state of Massachusetts that any compassionate judge is going to throw your slugrake ass out with your little welfare checks in tow if an actual defect exists in your apartment, point blank. It does not happen. Any ghettoglob worth their salt knows this at their core – and always drags out the eviction process for months rent free until the bitter end – at the expense of the property owner who just wants you to, you know, pay for the property you are renting. There are a million remedies available to cure habitability issues, none of which include “living rent free for almost a year.” Every time I see something like this pop up, my head hurts. If you are really dealing with a habitability issue, the simplest remedy is just repair it yourself, and deduct the cost from your next month’s rent. So simple even a…..never-mind.

Landlords LOVE section 8 because they get their rent every month, and it is well above “market rate”
The rent is guaranteed and so is any damage caused by the renter

You always say a court isn’t gonna throw a mother with children on the street and that because they have kids they will stretch out a eviction for months. It doesn’t work that way anymore. It don’t matter whether or not you have 0 kids or 5 kids. If you don’t pay your rent you will be evicted. And where you end up is your problem not the courts. If your lucky they will give you 30 days. It’s usually 14. If you don’t leave by the date given by the court, Then they have a certified letter sent with the date and time when the constable will be there to watch the hired movers move your stuff out of the property. That happens usually 7 days after you ignore the courts order to leave. At that point movers pack your stuff and put it in storage. Locks get changed and your out. Back 10-15 years ago people would stay in a apartment rent free for a year and it was because they would have kids they were able to do that. The laws have changed. They don’t care anymore and the truth is why should they? If you don’t pay your rent then you should be evicted. And if your withholding payment due to repairs that are needed, you still take your monthly rent payment put it in the bank and when you go to court you can say I have it all right here and then you will probably get your apartment fixed and keep the money cause you did shit the right way. This is just a case of a lazy mother who really don’t care where her kids sleep at night.

Exactly. It’s sad that people will purposely allow their children to be homeless because they don’t want to pay rent. And mold is not a excuse.. get the bleach and spray. It will disappear before your eyes like magic. Just like her money did every month when rent was due. I can’t feel bad for woman like this. It’s the homeless veterans that I feel bad for.
What white guy would date a single white mother that lives in new bedford? She’s cute, il give her that, but its sad that diego and tyrone will be the male influences in her children’s lives. And that will be her choice.
That’s not fair. There are shitty people in every town and city. I am a single mother. I have two kids by the same father and I get no help. I don’t even get child support because their “father” gets social security when he could work, but he chooses not to. They can’t take any of his social security because it’s like welfare I was told. But that’s another story. So I work my ass off and make sure I take care of all three of us and have been for 13 years. I’m from South Plymouth my whole life. But I had to move to New Bedford to be able to take care of us and not be worried every month if I could make the 1300$ rent alone with no help, not to mention gas, electricity,daycare and all the other bills I had. So we moved to New Bedford and I got a bigger apartment and it was 600$ less a month and I could actually start putting money into my savings. So just because someone lives some place that you don’t like doesn’t mean their a shitty person. Everyone has a story and their reasons.
Precisely why you NEVER rent to ghetto tenants unless they have a Section 8 voucher that covers the vast majority of the rent. And if you do decide to rent to ghetto tenants, MAKE SURE YOU RUN A GODDAMNED BACKGROUND CHECK IN ADVANCE TO LEARN IF THEY HAVE EVICTIONS UP THE WAZOO.

This is why people need to stop renting to section 8 trash. I dont really feel bad for the landlord, if you rent to section 8 trash you damn well know that you risk this sort of shit. It happens all the time not just in Massachusetts. That’s why if I ever rent its first, last & security along with credit, employment & criminal history checks for everyone on the lease, even the fucking gold fish.
If landlords would stop relying on the state and our tax money to pay for their rent. They would have no problems.
It sucks to get fucked over by a tennant but you made the choice to rent to section 8 trash. As if you didnt hear a little voice in the back of your mind telling you it’s a bad idea. Gtfo, you rent to trash in the end you’re out money and literally picking up the trash left behind!
This is why you do not do a lease. It’s a month to month agreement and if you dont like it then dont live in that persons place. Fucking simple as that!
This should be a 1300 dollar lesson to the landlord and all the other landlords that rent to these ticks.
