This is what passes for news on Masslive and Worcester Magazine:
Nine kids coached by local activist group “demand” that qualified, well liked superintendent be fired because….racism. Of course these 9 kids, out of the 25,000 in the WPS, have no idea what they’re talking about, all come from Sarai Rivera’s neighborhood, and repeat verbatim talking points that Sarai, her husband, Red Danny Margolis, Dante Comparetto, and a bunch of fake pastors in the Worcester Interfaith coalition have given them. People like this white woman:
Who chose to live on the West Side, far, far away from students of color like this. Classic NIMBY.
Of course the only thing that really matters is that every single principal in Worcester signed a statement praising the job done by her. That’s 100% of the highly qualified individuals who actually work with her, going out of their way to praise her. As opposed to 9 out of 25,000 students who say otherwise.
Just watch this and you will be amazed by how obvious it is these kids are being coached. They can’t even read the script in front of them:
Every single one of them read off a script, and none of them practiced beforehand. They couldn’t even complete a sentence without having to turn the page because they had no idea what to say next.
According to these children they were comprised of 4 “organizations,” including the Youth Civics Union, the HOPE Coalition, the Worcester Youth Movement and the Worcester Youth Cooperative. This of course means nothing, since it’s a bunch of kids putting together buzzwords that adults have fed them. These aren’t actual registered organizations that matter, and it’s really no different than the Nelson Place We Want Longer Recess Coalition holding a press conference demanding the resignation of their principal. Yet the MSM considers this newsworthy.
Loved the part at 1:10:
“When asked if….struck-tural…racism exists in the public schools….”
Come on guys, you gotta coach the girl better than that. She obviously had no idea what that word meant, and couldn’t even pronounce it. Always do a dry run before the main event if you’re gonna use kids as pawns. David Hogg frowns upon your shenanigans.
Then there was 6:15:
“Listen to our community, and constitute – constitute-ints.”
Honey, the word is pronounced “kuh n-stich-oo-uh nt.”
Practice makes perfect.
Or this one towards the end as part of the “demands”:
“To prohibit disproportionate disciplinary removals of students of color, and stop incriminating our students our families, our schools, and our communities. Hold accountable the people who …perpetrated our failures.”
The word is “perpetuated,” not “perpetrated.”
So many hot takes….
“We are all dissatisfied with the school committee and superintendent .”
No, there’s really just 9 of you. The vast majority of the people who live in Worcester and haven’t been brainwashed by your cult know that Maureen Binienda is doing a great job. Your puppet masters just don’t like her because she’s white and doesn’t bow down to their authority.
“Under Superintendent Binienda’s administration drastic disproportionalities within the discipline rates and suspensions among students of color, especially among Latino students, continue to exist.”
I don’t think “disproportionalities” is a word, but it’s definitely one that you didn’t come up with on your own kid. Either way, the disproportionate rates of Latinos students comes from a disproportionate rate of breaking the rules. Generally that’s the result. You’ll also notice that boys are suspended at 3 times the rate of girls. When is the “Superintendent is sexist” protest happening?
“We hate to break it to you Superintendent Binienda but your perception of the WPS being a utopia free of racism is flawed, ignorant, and shows how disconnected you are to students of color like us.”
She’s worked her entire career with students of color like you. The adults using you as pawns haven’t spent a day in the public schools their entire lives.
I’m sure they wrote this one on their own:
“It was because our experiences as students of color that last year decided to engage in a participatory action research initiative on teacher diversity in the WPS.”
And this one….
“She proceeded to make an inappropriate, culturally insensitive remark stating that Asian students don’t turn out to be teachers because they pursue careers as doctors.”
Asian students grow up to become doctors in higher rates than any other group. Facts don’t care about your feelings kids.
This made me chuckle:
“The superintendent claims to be a role model to thousands of students who work collaboratively with the community……but she has refused to contact us and has been dismissive of our research.”
Awesome script reading, but superintendents are under no obligation to meet with a bunch of 16 year olds who have done “research” by sharing a poll online. She owes you squat, and your buzzword soup organization names mean absolutely nothing.
Then there was this:
“She has allowed School Committee member John Monfredo, her biggest supporter, to call us pawns for adults.”
Allowed him? The SC hires the superintendent. They are her boss. She doesn’t allow anyone to do anything, but he is right that you are pawns for adults. After all, you kids literally said at the meeting with her that when you grow up you want to be “activists like Dan and Dante.” You’re being manipulated by a communist and a junkie deadbeat Dad.
“Failing to acknowledge the larger issues of systematic racism.”
And invocation of “bullying”:
“We’re not going to let the superintendent bully us as students.”
I see they’ve been well trained in how to self-victimize.
Then there were the “demands”…..
“We demand for the following actions to be taken. 1) the school department provide the necessary student sensitive data needed to do a thorough review of the suspension rates in the WPS. 2) The SC hire a chief diversity officer as part of their central leadership.”
“5) To incorporate training practices focused on understanding cultural differences, unconscious bias, and trauma informed care.”
Make it more obvious that someone wrote that for you. You can’t.
Loved this shot at their teachers too:
“Recruit and hire highly qualify staff and leaders to reflect our student community.”
The implication is clear – the current teachers they have right now are not qualified because they don’t look like them. These are just insolent brats badmouthing their teachers and the MSM is giving them a platform to do it.
These are the adults pulling the strings.
Good point Sarai. As you can see from this student of color protest, which was allowed to happen with no interference whatsoever, people of color are not allowed to protest “injustice.” And injustice in this case means kids who break the rules get suspended, regardless of their skin color. Totally unfair to be fair.
This woman too:
Believe me, Joyce McKnickles is the one who would profit off of this the most. “Unconscious bias training” would be taught by her and her SJW army at the YWCA.
This woman’s the new leader:
Yea, the data is simple – Latino students are getting suspended more than any other group because they break rules at a higher rate than any other group. These kids at the press conference today likely don’t get suspended because they follow the rules. They’re actually on track to success as it is and can do quite well for themselves if left to their own devices. But your group feels the need to convince them that they’re somehow being victimized, so that they can grow up and be professional victims like you.
Obviously these kids are a joke and no rational adult would ever take them seriously. So the question is, why is Mayor Joe Petty undermining the WPS teachers and administrators with comments like this:
Members of the Latino community have raised concerns over data that suggests a significant disparity in suspension rates and an uneven application of discipline. I am aware of these reports and share many of the concerns recently raised.
Disparities in the application of discipline are always unacceptable
5. Incorporate training practices focused on understanding cultural differences, unconscious bias, and trauma informed care.
Those statements tell you that he’s bought into this nonsense that the teachers are racist and too white. If the Union endorses him for Mayor this year then they are a joke.
The bottom line is that these kids are handpicked by Worcester’s most notorious SJWs, and they don’t speak for the entire student body. In the name of fairness I’d love to sit down and speak with any WPS student of color, or any former student of color who dealt with Maureen Binienda, or who would like to comment on alleged systemic racism in the public schools. Feel free to email me at [email protected], I’d love to chat.
