“Fundraisers” like this need to be called out:
You want me to pay for camp? Is one of them dying? Will any of this be going to charity? You mean it’s just two healthy kids going to camp? Yea, gonna be a hard pass on that one.
Listen Dolly, a lot of us have crotch fruits to tend to. If you wanna send them off to camp so you can get blasted with the door open for 2 weeks every summer, then save up $400 throughout the year like the rest of us. It’s not hard. It’s $400 freaking dollars. This is a real pet peeve of my mine, just because she thinks nothing of it. And “last year we had a huge success” makes it seem like it’s an annual tradition. “Well folks, it’s that time of the year again. Time for you to step up and pay for the basic shit that I should be paying for myself as a mother.”
This is what happens when we live in a society without shame. People see nothing wrong with this. And this is why we exist at Turtleboy Sports – to point out that this should not be the new normal. Fundraisers are for sick people and causes worth supporting. Getting you off of parenting duty for two weeks ain’t that.

Hello Turtle Riders. As you know if you follow Turtleboy we are constantly getting censored and banned by Facebook for what are clearly not violations of their terms of service. Twitter has done the same, and trolls mass reported our blog to Google AdSense thousands of times, leading to demonitization. We can get by and survive, but we could really use your help.
