It hasn’t been the greatest year for Worcester North High School. The students and teachers have been great, as usual. Unfortunately the principal and superintendent have been too consumed with juking the stats so they can make their cool charts in order to build a resume for the next overpaid job they’ll receive in education. Principals getting punched in the face, the Circlejerk hijacking school policy with their cop-hating propaganda, photo ops with vagrant cop-hating dads, pizza parties masquerading as parent meetings, bomb threats – you name it and it has happened at North High this year.
But the worst transgression IMO was the email that Lisa Dyer sent her staff about ELA teacher Janice Harvey. As you recall, Lisa Dyer called Janice Harvey “racist” in an email sent to the entire staff for not writing that she is “color-blind” towards her students, and instead judges them based on their merits and character instead. She never apologized, nor has she even mentioned Janice Harvey’s name. And of course her boss, Melinda Boone, came out and commended her. So did the Mayor Joe Petty. They all approved of this unprofessional behavior. As a matter of fact they approved it so much that they gave her a brand new contract!! Because….Worcester!!!
Anyway, today (Friday) is the North High graduation. We’ve been emailed by several students who are telling us that they have been told that they are not allowed to wear the “We Love Harvey” pins at the graduation:
The kids have been wearing these pins all over school and it’s been driving Old Maid Lisa Dyer batty. Word is she’s slowly losing her mind. She even called in the big guns – Jen Roy – in a failed attempt to restore her image.
But banning kids from wearing a pin? What kind of communist bullshit is this? Newsflash –
The bottom line is we are calling on EVERY student graduating tomorrow to wear this pin as they cross the stage. Some kids have emailed us telling us that they’re going to refuse to shake hands with Boone, Dyer, and Petty. We’re not saying you should or shouldn’t do that. You do whatever your heart tells you to do. It’s your graduation, and it’s your right as an American citizen use your free speech to express yourself in such a manner. Personally if it was me, I wouldn’t. But that’s because I’m not afraid of confrontation. You do what you gotta do.
Anyway, for people in the crowd the best way to stick it to BDP (Boone-Dyer-Petty) is to show up to the graduation while rocking your “I Am Turtleboy” shirt. If you haven’t gotten your’s yet then email us tomorrow at [email protected] or send us a message on Facebook and we’ll hook you up with a shirt in time for the big show. Here are some freedom lovers right here:
Oh yea, and congrats to the graduates on getting above 65 in all of your classes, and passing the MCAS before you turned 23. Be prepared though, nothing you learned in high school is at all applicable to real life. No employer is looking for someone to do their work 65% of the time, and in the real world there are no re-takes if you’re having a bad day. But chances are one day that you will have a shitty boss who you KNOW you are smarter then, just like Janice Harvey does. You better learn how to kiss their asses or else you’ll have to start a blog in order to pay your bills like we did. #TurtleboyLifeLessons
