Today was the first day of school in Worcester. Naturally the City of Worcester, in all its infinite wisdom, decided it would be a great day to start major construction outside of Flagg Street Elementary School. This Turtleboy hardly ever even hangs out on that side of town. Too much wine and cheese crowd over there. But the traffic was pretty insane. Glad we weren’t the only ones who thought this was idiotic because a Turtle Rider (who hasn’t figured out that our Facebook page is suspended and clearly has not liked the Lost Boys of Turtle page so we can’t respond to her) sent us this rant:
Nothing quite like the woo planning board….. The whole last month of school on Flagg St. was a complete traffic/construction nightmare. Creating utter chaos for pick up and drop off ….summer comes and goes, no construction whatsoever on Flagg. Easy breezy….Then boom 1st day of school, August 29 2016 and out in force and prime time for dismissal at 2:30pm.
We feel your pain girl….I only bring this up because it’s typical of the incompetence of this idiot right here:
Paul Moosey is somehow still employed as the head of Worcester’s DPW, even after possibly the biggest fuckup ever this winter when he repeatedly did not have Worcester’s roads plowed AT ALL.
He earns about $150,000 and he couldn’t possibly be any worse at his job. But he keeps it because he was appointed by his good friend Ed Augustus.
And seriously, what the hell is this all about:
When your teachers told you not to judge a book by its cover they were just saying that to be nice. If this guy showed up to a job interview in the private sector with that ridiculous mustache, and that 1993 boys regular parted haircut, he’d never even be considered for a position setting pins at the bowling alley. Hey Paul – Eric Matthews called – he wants his haircut back.
But in Worcester they will hire you to be in charge of handling our complicated and highly traveled roads. Because that makes TONS of sense.
Of course Paul Moosey didn’t do any of this construction during the summer and decided to start on August 29. Do you think he even checked to see when the first day of school was? Do you think he even knows that there’s an elementary school on Flagg Street? This is a man who lives in Sturbridge!!! He’s probably never even seen 90% of the city. Poor planning like this doesn’t bother him because he doesn’t have to deal with the bullshit that comes along with his incompetence.
Of course at the end of the day this is on Ed Augustus. This is a guy who just hired a six figure “chief diversity officer” to recruit minority candidates, because all he does is hire his incompetent white friends from Sturbridge. Don’t you get it? Ed Augusts is kind of a racist. He masks it well by bringing the DOJ here to discuss racism and blame everything on Turtleboy. But at the end of the day he only hires white people. Incompetent white people.
You can’t hire unqualified candidates just because they run in your social circles and then hire a chief diversity officer in order to throw black people a bone. He has the power to fire this guy, and he certainly has cause to after the historically awful job he did clearing our roads in the winter. But he won’t. Because if you’re a white guy in Ed’s social circle, you are set with a job for life!!

Driving through Worcester is good business for my dentist, it rattles the fillings out of my teeth
I’ve never seen such incompetence. They pave the streets then dig them up a week or month later. Wrentham road was paved then they put new water or sewer lines. Now it’s being repaved again. What a waste of taxpayers money. When they dig into the street have the contractor repave the street and infrared it to make it as smooth as possible. The DPW is a farce. Worcester is like driving in a bad dream trying to avoid all of the potholes cracks and all of the other obstacles.
How about Grafton street school the contractors had the entire summer to replace Windows because the air quality in the school is unhealthy for children, they wait until week before school starts to replace Windows and add on handicapped ramp, the contractor SPB has been arrested multiple times for assault and battery but City of Worcester keep hiring him, great job Worcester more taxpayer dollars WASTED
I’m so glad we don’t have these problems in Millis or Sturbridge. Frankly, we wouldn’t stand for it. Did I tell you that my next manager’s contract gives me a lifetime membership at Man Country in Chicago? I’ll be taking a lot of taxpayer-subsidized trips there now to observe windy city snow removal techniques. It will all be incorporated into my report about why I let the roads turn into ice rinks last winter. Thanks again to all those auto body shops that donated to my various, convoluted causes.

Burncoat street is the same way. They had all summer but they start on the first day of scholl on a street that has at least 4 schools on it or a block away from it. Dont worry though it will only be 30 days or so.
Maybe he can’t see the construction plans because he’s got those wonky eyes . . .

It took less time to put a 6-lane bridge over Lake Quinsig than that cluster-fuck on Belmont St. Most of the time when I drive by, there is nobody there working, where the fuck are they? Get this shit done and move on, or is this like lifetime employment? Every night at 5pm the backup is into Shrewsbury.
TOTAL CLUSTER-FUCK EVERY FUCKING DAY . . . . but you can’t see it from City Hall, so who gives a shit, right?
And its not on the way to Millis or Sturbridge either.
Nicely said! Maybe it will take 4 years like the Holy Cross bridge did to finish. In my opinion they will be doing that bridge again in a couple of years. Seems like the only bridge in this city that has had more uptake then any others. I would like them to come up with a plan for the Cambridge St bridge. These poor guys driving the big rigs hit the wind chimes (my definition) and can’t proceed or they will not make it under the bridge. There’s no where for these guys to turn around after they hit the wind chimes!!! Really how sad . LOVE to see that bridge taken care of for all the out of town, and out of state truckers that are trying to get threw Worcester with their GPS systems until THEY get to the CAMBRIDGE ST BRIDGE

BUT, THE BIGEST BONEHEAD MOVE:
Paving Major Taylor Blvd. during rush hour. People working downtown could NOT get to 290 or the eastside.
When the state paved the ramps at Belmont St., they did it at night.
Moosey could not find a contractor that was NOT afraid of the dark?
The Major Taylor paving BEGAN each day RIGHT AT 4:30 pm!! BEGAN at 4:30. Turds.
And because it was 4:30 PM in the middle of the summer, they ended up paving on huge puddles during a thunderstorm. How long will that job last? I don’t think you’re supposed to put asphalt down on top of huge puddles.

The ELECTED city council has the authority to fire this hairpiece as well. And they could fire Augustus too. What happened last winter was a dangerous tragedy, not a mere screw up. Moosey needs to go or each city Councillor who DOESNT call for his firing needs to go.
