A lot of people have been buzzing about the finish in the Women’s 400 meters at the Olympics. The favorite was American Allyson Felix, and her only real competitor was the Bahamas Shaunae Miller, who led the entire race. Felix gained ground on her in the final 100 meters, and right when they came to the finish lines Miller basically dove across the finish line, and since her torso crossed first, she was the winner. Watch:

Allyson Felix missed out on gold because her opponent dove across the finish line: https://t.co/77sYvjTQQM

She won 100% fair and square. And she didn’t dive, she fell. Anyone who has ever run the 400 meters before knows how much that race sucks. Your body was not built to sprint that far, and the final few steps you are running on pure sack and/or balls. Shaunae Miller had nothing left whatsoever and she leaned forward like runners are taught to do, and fell over and across the finish line first. End of story.
Don’t take my word for it though, listen to everyone who has ever run in the Olympics ever:
Shaunae Miller's dive was to recover from falling. Sprinters know the quickest way across the line is a well timed lean. Trust me on that.

Ppl are mad Miller won with a dive but most pro's at one point have used that tactic to win. Miller didn't cheat Allyson, she won fair.

Allyson Felix should have won this race but she took it too easy in the first 200 meters and wasn’t nearly aggressive enough. With 100 meters to go the lead was too big. Nevertheless it was an amazing race, and I love the fact that Americans get pissed about getting second place in anything.
The Internet mob disagrees though. Here’s a small sampling from people who just watched track for the first time yesterday:
Anyone saying that the rules should change simply because the American lost should be kicked out of America. We don’t have room for butthurt loser talk. All these losers talking about what you “should” have to do to win can go pound sand. Allyson Felix “should” have dove, or leaned earlier, or gone faster at the beginning so she didn’t find herself in that situation to begin with. But she didn’t, so she lost to a woman from the Bahamas who clearly wanted it more than her. End of story.

When I saw this race and the finish line results, the first thing that came to my mind was: “Wow, that Jamaican really wanted that gold. Good for her. Too bad the American did try as hard and want it as much.” Yup.
*didn’t
That’s the problem with a social media driven society where people are connected 24X7 ……. people need to create, stoke, and incessantly post about anything and everything …… regardless if they have a clue or not. Post Post Post
This is the Olympics, not some mid-life crisis chick dominated Spartan race. If you can’t beat the other person in a foot race while staying on your feet you are a loser. The race is over the line – not 3 feet in front of it. At a minimum, it should be visited and a clear determination made on what do do going forward – either way.
I don’t know. I think the black woman should have won. Tough for me to tell being colorblind and all.
Jonathan Doyle has nice man boobs lol.. and Eryk.. your 1st or 2nd chin will dive and win it for you
I’d rather watch Fiesty clean her husbands toilet shit stains than any Olympic event. Who cares?
Lots of gagging followed by, “This fucking guy…. come on man…Jesus”
Lol
I am happy to offer a quotation for fabrication and installation of a titanium/carbon fiber composite loo, guaranteed never to absorb even one fecal molecule. Price? Well I hope you know exponential notation. But it will be worth every gold bar.
Or you could stick the toilet brush handle up his ass and he’d clean it himself every time he sat down. Maybe even have a smile on his face too?
Nah, I do the cleaning around these parts. He does the fixin’ – it works for us.
I don’t think he would smile with anything in his ass. He’s a decade away from 50 and already terrified of the mandatory colonoscopy!
Tell him nothing to worry about the colonoscopy. I’m a decade past 50. Had one. Weird reaction to the drugs but I’m a perfect asshole.
“I think blah blah blah…” What you think as a spectator of a sport you know nothing about is irrelevant stfu. Almost as bad as people Monday managing police use of force incidents with 5 seconds of video footage. Eat a bag of dicks, clowns
They sound like a bunch of Butt hurt Patriots haters….when Belichick beats you with a tactic you didn’y know was legal….you cry to the NFL to change it.
The same people bitching about this would probably say that Caster Semenya has every right to compete as a woman even though that is obviously a man. This is what the should be outraged about
Hey… my balls are actually a handicap… I used to run hurdles, but they kept slapping off the crossbar!
I guess it WOULD be cheating if Castor flopped out his hog and crossed the line first with it. But these butthurt whiners would call it empowering.
I do think it’s weird that you can get disqualified for 1 false start, though.
I saw this live – I kind of admired her for sacrificing her body like that. Would have really sucked if she’d injured herself doing it, though.
