Fox News 4 Dallas-Fort Worth: A friendly impromptu dance competition turned into a brawl between two Dallas-area schools’ drill teams.

The fight between Wilmer Hutchins High School and James Madison High School’s drill teams happened after the football game ended last Friday at Wilmer Hutchins Stadium.

Deshannon Roberts’ daughter, 15-year-old Shamyra Cooper, had a member from Madison High School come over to her and perform a mock routine.

“You do have a personal space in which you are supposed to respect,” Roberts said. “That was not respected, so it was heated at that point.”

The dance team member from Madison returned and Cooper turned her back. Then there was a hit to the back of the head.

“I immediately leaped over the rail and ran to the field, trying to get my baby,” Roberts said. “By that time it was chaos.”

The field was filled with brawling dance team members and adults who had joined in.

Man, we missed out growing up with Massachusetts High School football. We didn’t have 20,000 people coming to home games. We didn’t have coaches shooting us up with mystery fluids before the game. No one ever instructed us to assault the refs if we didn’t get the calls. And we certainly didn’t have dance team brawls after the games were over. Oh Texas, thank God we stole you from Mexico. If you were still part of the Mexican empire they’d be playing soccer and having cock fights instead of playing the greatest sport ever exist. Thank you Davey Crocket!!!

I’m with the Mom on this one. Look, this girl from the other team was acting ratchet. That’s a fact. You don’t get all up in someone’s grill piece like this:

Unless you’re trying to take it to the next level. Plus, she went right after the heavy girl. The ratchet girl was thinking she’s all fly because she weighs 100 pounds and the other girl is easily a buck ninety.  But when you poke the bear, you better expect retaliation.

Of course the authorities released this bullshit statement:

Bullshit. Everyone knows it’s an unwritten rule that when you get served you have no choice but to serve them back. It’s science. Trust me, I’ve been involved in five million dance offs in my life and I’ve gone through way too many pairs of jeans to count in the process. It doesn’t matter how old your opponent is or how much you outweigh them by, when you get served you have to retaliate. It’s the Turtleboy code.

Nevertheless, there are rules to the impromptu dance off that were obviously broken here. First of all, when you get served, you have to stand there and take it. You can make facial gestures and act like you’re unimpressed, but you still have to stand there and watch it happen. If you don’t, then you can’t realize how badly you got served. Extremely disrespectful stuff right there. And the bigger girl disrespected the ratchet girl when she pulled this move:

So the ratchet girl had no choice but to pelvic thrust into the bigger girl. But the little girl crossed the line and went full ratchet mode once she initiated contact with the hairdo:

And then she started rubbing it in

At this point it’s like when the benches clear in baseball. The unwritten rules have been violated and retribution and/or satisfaction is in order.

With that said, it should’ve stayed with the girls on the field. Parents have no business jumping into this broo-ha-ha. If your kid is acting ratchet, they better be able to accept the consequences.

So the lessons here are simple:

1. Never turn your back on an opponent during a dance off.
2. Never initiate contact with your opponent during a dance off, even if they are violating rule #1.
3. If you feel disrespected you are well within your rights to escalate the dance off to a full rowdy-down, so long as the parents stay out of it.
