SC Teacher Fired After Student Steals Her Phone And Take Pics Of Her Naked Valentine’s Day Pics For Her Husband

You would think that after stealing a teacher’s phone, taking pictures of private, naked pictures, and then posting those to social media, a student would get in trouble. But not in South Carolina. In SC naked pictures are the devils work, unions don’t exist, and the teacher loses her job over it.

I hear a lot of morons say, “Unions are outdated. Especially public sector unions. They shouldn’t be allowed to organize. Don’t like your job? Plenty more people will do it so stop your whining. For all you idiots who have ever uttered something like that, I share with you this story from South Carolina, one of five states that does not allow collective bargaining for teachers, which is basically the same thing as outlawing unions:

Daily MailA South Carolina teacher was forced to resign after a student stole her phone and shared her nude pictures. Leigh Anne Arthur, 33, a former mechatronics (a blend of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer control and information technology) teacher at the Union County Career and Technology Center, doesn’t think she should be held responsible for the theft, which occurred while she was patrolling the halls.

Arthur, who took the partially nude pictures for her husband on Valentine’s Day, told WYFF that she knows who the student is because he is one of her 16-year-old students that she taught in her mechatronics class.  The student, who had also warned her that something bad was coming, sent the images to other students through text messages and social media, according to WSPA. Arthur said the student told her that ‘your day of reckoning is coming’.

When school officials got wind of the situation, they took action against Arthur. They gave her two choices, resign or the district will terminate her, according to Union County schools superintendent David Eubanks. He told The State that there is a ‘right to privacy, but when we take inappropriate information or pictures, we had best make sure it remains private’.

‘Students had access to very inappropriate pictures of a teacher,’ he said.  Arthur resigned last week. Eubanks said Arthur was in the wrong because her phone was unlocked and she made the inappropriate picture available to her students.

Screen Shot 2015-12-28 at 1.20.12 PM

School officials are unsure how many students viewed the teacher’s picture, but Eubanks said Arthur’s phone was unlocked when it was swiped.  She said that the student ‘took pictures from my phone and sent them from his phone’.

‘He knows right and wrong. He had the ultimate decision to take pictures of my pictures, and he had the ultimate decision to send them out,’ she said. ‘He had to hit my apps button and to open up all my apps and then open my gallery.’ Regardless, Arthur said she already forgives the student for the prank.

Three of Arthur’s students started an iPetition titled ‘Bring Mrs. Arthur Back’, to gather signatures to call for her reinstatement. The petition reads: ‘After being escorted off of school property, we (the students) are left to believe that she has been forced to, or given little choice but to resign. ‘Mrs. Arthur has not only shown tremendous dedication to her students, but also the mechatronics program itself, often reaching out to local businesses and colleges to get materials that would not normally be available for class.

So let me get this straight. A student broke into her classroom and stole her phone while she was doing her contractually obligated duty of patrolling the hallways. He then invaded her privacy, distributed private pictures to all of his friends, and publicly humiliated one of this teachers. And SHE is the one who gets in trouble?

Yea, who needs unions?

The fact that the superintendent is actually blaming the victim for not locking her phone is the height of insanity, but it’s not really surprising. This is South Carolina after all. I’d be willing to bet anal sex is against the law in South Carolina. The only reason to lock your phone is because you don’t want your girlfriend going through it. That’s it. This woman obviously trusts her husband so she shouldn’t have to worry about anyone going through it.

And what lesson is he teaching the 16 year old who did this? As long as your neighbor’s door isn’t locked you’re free to go inside and rummage through their shit? This is madness!!! How bout this comment from the little shitstain:

‘Your day of reckoning is coming’.

And you know what? He was right. The little shithead got his way. He probably didn’t like the teacher because she gave him a bad grade that HE EARNED, so he snuck into her room when he wasn’t supposed to and went through her shit, looking for something to hold against her. And he found the jackpot. If I was this woman’s husband, I would beat the snot out of this kid. Imagine someone doing that to your wife and then your wife loses her job? I don’t care how old you are, you’re getting your ass beat for that.

What’s really messed up is that this ruined the woman’s life. It’s not like she lost a job and she’ll just find a new one. She’ll never, ever be able to teach anywhere again. Any prospective employer will Google her name and this story will pop up.

And believe it or not there are morons out there supporting the principal:

Screen Shot 2016-03-02 at 2.48.27 PM

Oh yea, how irresponsible of her to assume that asshole kids won’t steal her phone and go through it. Does she bring her wallet with her to school too? Does that wallet have a credit card in it? Because that’s pretty Goddamn irresponsible too right? After all, we have to assume that a student will break into her classroom while she’s on hall monitoring duty, go through her wallet, and run up a bunch of shit on her credit card. I mean, the student had no choice right? He’s the real victim here.

Yea, that’s because your name is Geraldine and you probably went to the prom with Old Balls. Welcome to the 21st century Geraldine, where teachers are allowed to get a little kinky with their significant others.

Screen Shot 2016-03-02 at 2.49.25 PM

Sleaze bag? How is she a sleazebag Bobby boy? Because she took some nude pics of herself to give her husband a little foreplay? God forbid two consenting adults get a little kinky once in a while!! Of course when you look at Bob Chamberlin:

You can clearly see that sex is something that he is not even vaguely familiar with.

This is just more of the same victim blaming that we see happen all the time to women. Her skirt was too short, so she had it coming, right guys? The 16 year old boy was just being a 16 year old boy. They’re allowed to do stuff like this because they can’t control their impulses.

It just boggles my mind the standard that some idiots hold teachers to. Like, do they think that teachers leave school, go home, correct papers, and then plug themselves into the wall in order to recharge for the next day? Do they think teachers don’t like to party, cuss, and knock boots like the rest of us? The superintendent said this:

“When we take inappropriate information or pictures, we had best make sure it remains private.”

Newsflash – there is nothing inappropriate about a picture that you have kept to yourself. Nothing. The act of taking your clothes off is not inappropriate. Neither is the act of photographing yourself while doing so, so long as you don’t share those photographs with the public. If Geraldine took naked pictures of herself using a 1970’s polaroid camera, kept the pics in her house, and then some kid broke into her house and stole the pictures, Geraldine wouldn’t be the inappropriate one.

Anyway, if this woman had a union and a collectively bargained contract, they’d be able to pay for a lawyer and fight this easily winnable case. But this is the Bible Belt we’re talking about, and naked pictures are not allowed, even between married couples. South Carolina has very strict missionary only laws. So basically the school can come to this teacher and say, “Resign and we’ll give you a small severance package, or try to fight it on your own without a lawyer and get nothing.” She had no choice but to resign, despite the fact that she knows she did absolutely nothing wrong.

Where are all the SJWs on this? This is a clear cut case of victim blaming and slut shaming on the part of the white cis-het patriarchy.

Oh wait; the teacher was pretty and white? She wasn’t black and morbidly obese, with more rolls than thanksgiving dinner? Oh, than they don’t give a shit about her.

“A 16-year-old student has been charged in a nude photo scandal that led to the resignation of a Union County High School teacher last week.

The juvenile is charged with a computer crime and aggravated voyeurism.”

  • Unions are a joke
    March 3, 2016 at 8:49 am

Unions are obsolete and force members to pay dues regardless of whether they are members (i.e. teacher unions). My wife is in the teachers union and her $800 annual dues go partly to fund mailing union members vote Democrat propaganda. Most teachers are lemmings and blindly vote the party (always democrat) their union pressures them to vote for.

True Reality Speaks is right. A lot of unions are bullshit nowadays. It seems like they lose people more jobs then they save. Nice return on all of those dues you pay over the years. Union or no union why would you want to work for a place that would fire you over something like this? There are way better places to work out there.

The following does not condone the student’s actions in any way, shape or form, but here is some additional info:

“A student broke into her classroom and stole her phone while she was doing her contractually obligated duty of patrolling the hallways.” – No, according to the teacher’s statement on local news, she : 1. Let the student use her phone in class for some project they were working on and 2. She left the phone on her desk (not locked up in her desk like most teachers would do with their valuable personal items.)

“This is not a case of a deviant adult sending nudes to a juvenile.” – I am not saying that she intended for the student(s) to see the pictures, but how stupid or naive do you have to be to have (semi)nude pictures on a device, hand that device to a student, leave that device out for ANYONE to pick it up and thumb through it? I am wondering, if this was a male teacher and female student, would people be less forgiving of the teacher.

I think the student should face discipline from the school. As far as legal charges, I doubt there is anything he can be charged with. Of course, the teacher could file a civil suit against the student for damages.

In SC, the school boards have final say in dismissals. Looking at the law in SC, I think she had a shot at fighting termination. Probably the worst part of this for her is that this occurred in a very small town. Hate it for her, and people make mistakes, but this teacher sounds as if she has really bad judgement, is naive or was not really thinking. There is a difference between “blaming the victim” and saying, “Hmmm, could you have done anything to have prevented this?”

Unions are for extorting fees from members and spending it on salaries and paying back (off) liberal politicians at election time. They protect the connected and leave others to fend for themselves.

What did Worcester’s teachers union do for Janice Harvey? What did they do about Dyer and Jackson, et al? What has Spencer’s union done about their school system? The list goes on and on.

Not fair. This is not a case of a deviant adult sending nudes to a juvenile. It is clear to me that the student and then the employer victimized the teacher. I hope she did not take the severance and called a lawyer. I would not rest until that smug punk and the school system became very very sorry for their mistreatment of her. She is suffering real damages here like wrongful termination and invasion of privacy never mind that her prospects for future employment are clearly impacted. That kid should be facing charges on some variations of unlawful use of a computer, theft of data, and I’m no DA or lawyer but I bet I could draw up a scary ass list of charges for all those involved to lose sleep over. Some noob lawyer should probono this for the free advertisement of his/her name sounds like an easy settlement.

Check this out… I read that in some examples of stolen cell phone pics it sounds like she should immediately register the photo(s) with the U.S Copyright Office which declares to the world that she is the rightful owner of the media and then send takedown notices to the punk and all his friends and their parents. Tell them they need to call back or bend over for the litigation pain train and then sniff out anyplace these photos may have been uploaded so we can send same takedown and litigation threats to every website or photo sharing app etc promising failure to do so as copyright infringement and that since she is not a celebrity she could also claim a violation of privacy in addition to copyright infringement.

In addition to the theft of a cell phone that kid committed a felony. Any ordinary computer including cell phones, fall under the computer fraud and abuse act. She should not have lost her job. That kid should have to go to court and answer to criminal charges like ‘dealing in stolen property’ ‘unauthorized access to a computer’

and the kids that witnessed the material and did not report it should be reprimanded through the school. To prevent further harm to the teacher

She can then sue that kid for lost wages.

Im conflicted on this one. If I had xrated material in a bag and a coworker went through my bag

oh lol .. I forgot to delete everything I typed after “In addition to the theft of a cell phone that kid committed a felony…. ” that is not true as that felony only applies to computers and phones owned by the fed govt anyways without an edit button I cant fix it.

Student didn’t steal the phone – apparently picked hers up, found the photos and took pictures of them with HIS phone.

Another reason student cell phones should not be allowed in schools.

Turtleboy, it might be helpful if you could get a hold of theses picture to allow all of the turtle riders to have a more complete understanding of exactly how big of a smoke show this teacher is . From the video with this piece I’m thinking she’s maybe a six. Does all of this rise to the level of Erin Andrews and her lawsuit?
