The Winter Olympics suck. The fact that the premier event is figure skating is pretty much all you need to know. And if there isn’t a white trash-pretty girl rivalry where one gets her knees bashed in by a hitman hired by the other, I just can’t get into it. The only thing the Winter Olympics are good for is hockey and speed skating. Then legendary speed skater Shani Davis did this after he lost a coin flip tiebreaker to luger Erin Hamlin for the right to carry the American flag at the Winter Olympic opening ceremonies:
I am an American and when I won the 1000m in 2010 I became the first American to 2-peat in that event. @TeamUSA dishonorably tossed a coin to decide its 2018 flag bearer. No problem. I can wait until 2022. #BlackHistoryMonth2018 #PyeongChang2018 pic.twitter.com/dsmTtNkhJs

Oh for fuck’s sake. Is there ANYTHING that isn’t racist these days? No one cares about medals you won at previous Olympics that we didn’t watch. You knew the rules going into it, you tied, and then you lost the coin flip. Naturally you decided to hashtag black history month because somehow a coin toss is now racist, and you automatically win all tiebreakers in the month of February on the account of your skin color.
Never mind the fact that the woman who beat you fair and square is a WOMAN. In the era of #MeToo. So if we’re gonna do identity politics, she’s winning, or at least tied. Seriously though, be a bigger bitch. You can’t.
Looking back at his Twitter this seems to be a theme. Like how he claims he’s always had to have his hands up:

Or how NBC is racist because they used pictures of three white athletes in their promo:

Yes, that's NBC idea of diversity at its best for @TeamUSA. Then in opening ceremonies, NBC will be showcasing every black face from every nation as if….and an unsuspecting public will fall for it all "hook, line and sinker."

Uhhhh….it’s the Winter Olympics. Pretty much everyone is white or Asian. If you picked 3 people out of a hat from the USA, the odds are overwhelming that they would all be white. Statistics aren’t racist. But you kind of are.
Oh, and they will most definitely be highlighting black faces at the opening ceremonies. Like the Nigerian bobsled team. Ya know, because it’s not every day you see a Nigerian bobsled team.
Some have tried to defend him:
Shani Davis is one of the greatest speed skaters ever in a sport that's 99% White/Asian. He probably felt he shd have won outright (no coin toss) bc he overcame discrimination to be most decorated American at these games & 1 of only 6 US athletes to ever compete in 5 Olympics.

But yea, it’s just not working out. To assume that because Shani Davis is black that he “overcame discrimination” in a country where racial discrimination is against the law, kind of makes you a racist. Just sayin.
I’ll still root for him if it comes on in my living room though. Go USA!!
