Obviously this would be front page news everywhere, and there was nothing in the police logs about it. Turns out she made the whole thing up, insisted that she’d heard it from a friend, provided no evidence, and never issued any sort of correction.

But for 50 years, they have been telling us to shut up about these things: welfare is counterproductive, welfare has created a permanent unemployable underclass, borrowing trillions of dollars from the Saudis and Chinese puts our stability at risk, the best social program is a strong economy, if you want more of something subsidize it, if you want less of something tax it, in 1965 only 24% of black births were out of wedlock, now it is 80%, closing factories in the US is a bad idea, the pledge of allegiance to the flag is a really good thing!
