So All That Kevin Love To The Boston Celtics Thing Was Just A Giant Tease And The Plan Was To Build Around Marcus Smart?

I just wanna take a minute to thank all of the yahoos on talk radio and CSN for wasting my time for the last two months with all this nonsense about trading draft picks for Kevin Love. I’m not gonna lie, never in my wildest dreams did I picture this night ending with Rajon Rondo still on this team along with the 6th and 17th draft picks. If I add up all the time since the NBA lottery that I’ve had to listen to all these random trade scenarios that never amounted to shit I’d be able to ride my magical turtle to Buffalo and back.

Seriously, what the fuck was the point of that whole Kevin Love trip to Boston thing? Remember when he took a selfie with every jamoke with a camera?

Yea, what a fucking tease that was. Seriously, what he hell is wrong with the Timberwolves? Why is he still on your team Flip Saunders? You’re going absolutely nowhere with him and he’s 100% gone for good next year. Now you’re gonna get shit for him. Nice job.

Instead now we have Marcus Smart and James Young. So yea, the Boston Celtics are pretty much an unstoppable force of nature now. Banner #18 here we cum!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the best player in this draft will end up being Dante Exum. His game is remarkably similar to Kobe Bryant and Steph Curry’s. I have absolutely nothing to back this up except for some youtube videos, and I have many people that disagree with me. We will revisit this blog in five years and we will all say Turtleboy told you so to the following people:

Marcus Smart will be a solid NBA player, but he plays the point. Basically this means that Rondo’s gone, which everyone else in the NBA has to know by now. Now we’re gonna get 30 cents on the dollar for him because everyone’s gonna know we don’t want him. So yea, that’s gonna do wonders for his trade value.

Oh yea, and for all you green teamers out there who were cheering for the Celtics every time they won a game, how’d that turn out? Celtics finished with the same record as the Utah Jazz and lost the fifth pick to them on a tiebreaker. Remember when Jeff Green hit that useless shot against the Miami Heat that people were all fired up about?

Yea that was pretty stupid. Wish that didn’t go in. Look, maybe it will turn out that Marcus Smart is an NBA superstar. Maybe. But most likely one of the players chosen in front of him will be better and we’ll all be wondering what the hell the point of winning those 25 games was. If you’re gonna tank, do it right. I think the lesson we learned here tonight is that Danny Ainge clearly sees the tanking process as a two year process. Same time next year.

Feel free to share your thoughts to keep the conversation going.

Useless shot? Dude, that was winning the Miami Heat in 2013. We shouldn’t have won the Cavaliers and Bobcats (Hornets) on the season’s last games.
And MAYBE, maybe Rondo stays as a Celtic playing 1 and Smart 2, there’s no big deal.

This team is in development. They are not going to be any better next year.

Even if marcus smart is as good as rondo how does that make the Celtics better? You are right, Danny must see this as a two yr tank deal. Hope they learned from this yrs mistakes
