Southbridge really is a magical place. This was recently documented in the Southbridge blog, “The O’Zone” when he put up this video of a broo-ha-ha at the most recent Southbridge Board of Health meeting. Starts off a little slow, but shit really starts to get fun as it goes on, climaxing at around the 1:30 mark:
“I’ll roll my eyes any way I God damn fucking please.”
I have no idea what this is about, nor do I care. All I know is, Southbridge politics is wicked fun. Last time we blogged about them a City Councilor was getting kicked out of a School Committee meeting for giving them the middle finger:
This time it’s some woman with her kids getting cussed out by a guy on the board of health. Of course the real lose here was the poor little girl who had to witness this shitshow and instinctively put the ear muffs on:
Poor kid.
Now I’m not gonna excuse the language this guy used in front of children, but I definitely understand his frustration. The woman is up there lecturing them about how she makes her own laundry detergent and asks them repeatedly how they can sleep at night. Those are hippie fighting words.
Then she tells him not to roll his eyes at her, and finally he snaps. But at the same time, why can’t he roll his eyes? I feel like that’s a non-violent, non-verbal way of letting someone know that you think they’re full of shit. You have every right to roll your eyes and not get attacked by some angry lady who makes her own laundry detergent. So yea, I agree with him, but he probably could’ve just said, “I’ll roll my eyes if I want to,” and not given this woman more fuel for the fire.
Anyway, here’s what I don’t understand – where are all the Puerto Rican people at? Because if you looked at this video you’d think Southbridge is a white-washed town. People complain a lot about not having enough diversity in the government and equal representation and blah, blah, blah. But if one group of people makes up such a large percentage of people in town, then there’s really no excuse for them not to have candidates elected. Might wanna try running for office and voting. Or just let these white people swear at each other and flip the bird during meetings. Whatever you think is more productive.

Man I wish the Worcester City Council would react like that when the Kelly Square four stormed and was about as disorderly as disorderly gets. A “Shut the fuck up”, or words to that effect, would have been awesome! Albeit unprofessional. But awesome.
The video wasn’t available for some reason,just two big blank spaces.
Maybe she’s pissed because the landfill is poisoning her well and it’s been over a year that she’s been waiting for some answers and the PTB in town are dragging their feet because it’s all about $$$.
I really have no idea what this is about but I don’t think it’s fair to judge her without knowing the whole story.
He should be removed for that behavior.
Intolerance of another’s views is a hallmark of a drone who cannot think for himself and thus spouts leftist nonsense.
So what if he’s a professional? That lady was begging for an eye roll at minimum. He obliged, she engaged. Case closed. He’s a grown man. No one got hurt.
I get it and agree she deserved it. I just think he could have composed himself better. It’s like she was waiting for him to do something like that to call him out. She got what she wanted…
Because she treads softly on Mother Earth, I’ll feel better about driving my classic 7 liter muscle car. My 13.5 mpg will be more than offset by her careful stewardship of Gaia.

Ehhh… I want to roll my eyes at MANY people in a professional setting. I’m talking roll them so fucking hard they stay that way, all jacked up….but I don’t because I maintain professionalism. He would have been better off imagining himself drop kicking her lije a ninja, works everytime. Yes, the woman was being a bitch just by the tone of her voice but he is in a position where he has to be professional. He should have left the curse word out at the least. I’m thinking if she would have said, “You are rolling your eyes you obviously don’t care” wouldn’t have produced such a vulgar response by this man. He was spoken to like a child, no one likes that, especially a man.
My two cents.
The “organic” poncho that she is wearing says it all… The people of Southbridge are mean, mean, MEAN!! How long are they planning to let that poor woman walk around with that obvious stick up her dainty rear end before someone attaches a back ho to it and pulls it out? The humanity!
At this point, I’m beginning to feel that I would be a more capable member of some of these boards & institutions than some of these chuckleheads! No class anymore!
