Christmas is coming, and the GoFundMe scams are in high drive like we’ve never seen before. Here’s a Mom from Maine who’s pretending her 15 year old daughter has a thyroid disease that’s causing her to loser her hair so she can guilt people into giving her $4,000:

Stephanie Perry and Ronald Bouchard are from Rumford, ME. I never heard of it, you never heard of it, and I would imagine that 99% of the people who come out of it resemble this power couple:

As you can see they are the star pupils coveted by Maine dentists everywhere. They both remarkably seem to have all their choppers in place, which makes them seem like mythological creatures in Maine.

Oh, and they used the “Loving” filter, not understanding that that filter was created for proud interracial couples celebrating the Loving decision. Not people who are “loving” one another.

Stephanie is claiming that her 15 year old daughter Jessica has autoimmune thyroid disease, which can indeed cause hair loss. We don’t know the first thing about this (which would be the ideal type of disease if you wanted to make money off of people who didn’t want to bother researching), but it seems from the Google machine that a TSH level of 275 would be a world record. Any basic healthcare plan would pay for what she’s looking for, and from the looks of the pictures of her child (which you can find all over her Facebook page) she has a full head of hair. Including the picture Mom is using for the GoFundMe:

But according to the GoFundMe:

She is loosing her hair which we all know being 15 that’s hard on her! She has days that she ask me why momma why me why am I so sick.

Oops!

I already knew everything I needed to know about this spruce moose the moment she said her daughter was “loosing” her hair. We get hundreds of messages and emails a day. The only people who spelling “losing” that way are blue blooded ratchets. That’s just an undebatable scientific fact.

She also says that she’s a “single mom.” Yet almost all of her pictures feature her swapping venereal juices with her womb broom Ron Bouchard:

Who’s obviously a real winner because he wears Airwalks, does wheelies, and is looking to get some new pegs for the back of his bike:

The reason we came across this winner, and the reason why we doubt her story, is because a turtle rider who runs a Facebook page that features stories on human trafficking and abuse, has been asked by Steph Perry multiple times to share the GoFundMe. And the messages read like that guy you went out with one time who can’t take a hint:

At 9:30 she tells her she’ll take a look. By 2:00 the spruce moose was following up with “what are your thoughts?” An hour later she dropped another hint. The next day she messaged again. Even if this was a real disease, that alone would make me want to NOT share her story. Shut the fuck up. She’ll get back to you if she’s interested. If not, figure it out. You’re the parent, take care of your kid.

But of course in all likeliness the kid was never sick in the first place, and “Mom” is just using her daughter to scam people out of $4,000. And it certainly seems to be working so far:

It’s also not the first time they’ve seen her pull a scam like this:

A while back she told a friend of mine that her daughter was in the hospital being treated for cancer and when the friend tried to send gifts there was no such patient there. When she asked her about it she said she was rushed to another hospital in the middle of the night. My friend looked into that place and there was again no girl there by that name. Same friend also told me that over time she has claimed to have gotten financial help from people while she said she lost two or three other children to cancer. If this is true it’s tragic. But if not……

Once again check out her Facebook page, or Ron Bouchard’s Facebook page. They seem to have a litter of healthy children, and don’t post anything that would suggest that they’ve suffered the loss of children to cancer.

We reached out to Steph Perry yesterday to ask about this on a couple Facebook pages, but she has not returned our messages. If her healthy looking 15 year old daughter with a full head of hair is in fact sick, and if they can prove that insurance is not covering the radiation to fix her issue, we will gladly set the record straight. But something tells me that if we do hear from Steph Perry or Ron Bouchard, it will be in regards to a deformation lawsuit coming our way.

Rumford, Maine smells like old, cooked cabbage because of the paper mills. It smells BAD.

Maybe contact the school district about this story?? If they did lose 3 other kids, I would think they must be well known.

I work in pediatric endocrinology/ thyroid diseas Her disease is real, not at all close to be fatal though Fairly easily managed with meds, small percent of children require surgery or iodine radiation There not any tests needed other than routine thyroid labs to check response to meds Unless she has a nodule they want to biopsy with ultrasound Also elevated TSH means HYPO ( low) hormone , hair loss is with HYPER Although with her disease you can be both

It’s been a while since my last trip there but IIRC, Rumford and Gardiner are towns you smell before you see them.

I have had auto immune disease for 20 years since my first child. Your thyroid is the cruise control of your body and when it is out of whack it makes everything else messed up also. High blood pressure and cholesterol .. BUT. Once you are on medication for it within a month or so your feeling better and your no longer have high blood pressure or any other issues. You can loose some hair but not much from the medication, and if that happens there are others that can be given. You are not that sick once you are on the hormone replacement meds. Their are a lot of people who have this disease and don’t claim to be this sick. I would wonder if she see’s a thyroid specialist, had the proper ultra sounds on the thyroid done to see if it has nodules. I would also wonder if mom makes sure she is taking her meds every day the right way. Empty stomach, full glass of water and nothing else for 30 mins. Not even a flint stone vitiman. There is no reason to start a go fund me over a thyroid condition, when their are babies dying right now of cancer. Mom should feel good

Also when I was diagnosed I had a thyroid level of -57 so if this little girl had a TSH of 275 she would be dead. No question. Not many people know about what the thyroid does. But then there are people who do know about it. If this little girl is as sick as the mom claims, she should be in the hospital. That was a huge number to use for TSH levels
