Telegram Rejects Rejoice That Non-Crazy Man Gordon Davis Is Suing Nonexistent Corporation For Writing That He Is Not Crazy
Your attention please – the Turtleboy Sports Facebook page has been suspended until Tuesday, March 22. In order to follow the blogs you MUST like the Free Turtleboy Facebook page, which we use to post blogs whenever the Turtleboy Sports Facebook account is arbitrarily suspended. If we ever get shut down for good, this will become the new Turtleboy Sports main Facebook page.
We urge you to support the Turtleboy Sponsors by doing business with them. Last week we blogged about how Gordon Davis is suing a non-existent company called “Turtleboy Sports INC” and Aidan Kearney, a guy who we’ve hired to sell ad space on our site, for $153,000. We entitled the blog, “Turtleboy is being sued for $153,000 for calling non-crazy man Gordon Davis, crazy in real life.” Notice we specifically referred to him as “non-crazy” in the headline.
Well wouldn’t ya know it? He tried sending this to us the other day:
Translation – he’s adding the most recent blog about the lawsuit onto his lawsuit. Ya got that? A blog in which we explicitly called him “non-crazy” is being added to a lawsuit alleging that we cost him $153,000 in business by opining that he is in fact crazy. LOL. This is happening in real life!!!
Anyway, Gordon Davis is a public figure. He speaks at City Council meetings, he gives quotes to the media, he writes for a free publication that is distributed all over Worcester. He is more than open to public criticism. Because you’re allowed to have opinions about public figures in America and write them on the Internet.
But one thing you can’t do is make up lies. Which is why he’s being sued for $1 million by City Councilor Michael Gaffney for claiming as a matter of FACT that someone showed up to the Mike Gaffney fundraiser in blackface:
And then a couple days later went onto Facebook and asked around to find out if there was any truth to this:
Of course there wasn’t, but it didn’t stop him from printing it anyway.
Oh yea, and how bout this blog we pulled up, which was written by Ol’ Man Gordy in April of 2015. It was written back when former North High teacher Janice Harvey was called a racist by principal Lisa Dyer for suggesting that she was “color blind” when assessing her students. Here’s what Gordon had to say about Janice Harvey and Turtleboy:
There is evidence of racism, albeit the “White Woman’s Burden complex” in her column. Ms. Harvey mentions Turtleboy in her column, but does not attack him. She does not even mention that Turtleboy is an alleged sexual harasser. In effect Ms. Harvey gives Turtleboy’s racist rants uncritical publicity, while attacking the Black people of Worcester.
Alright, where is this “evidence of racism” in Janice Harvey’s column? Here’s the definition of racism:
The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
What part of the term color blind suggests that Janice Harvey believes that all black people and all white people possess characteristics specific to their race? Because that’s what the word “racism” means. That’s a factual word, not an opinion. In the process of labeling Janice Harvey as a racist, he directly affected her reputation and made it impossible for her to keep working at North High School. He contributed to her losing her position at North High School because of his callous lies.
He also says that it’s Janice Harvey’s job to “attack” Turtleboy in her column because of Turtleboy’s “racist rants.” The problem is that Turtleboy has never once published a single blog that can remotely be considered racist. Not one. But yet here Gordon Davis is, putting words on the Internet which are clearly bold faced lies. Has it cost us any business to be falsely labeled as racist? Probably not, because no one pays attention to Gordon Davis anyway. He’s an irrelevant malcontent who publishes lies on the Internet.
Then he says that Turtleboy is an “alleged sexual harasser.” Really? Alleged by who? In what court was anyone who writes for Turtleboy ever accused of sexual harassment? Which police department investigated these allegations? Oh that’s right, he’s just making it up again. But please, tell me more about how Turtleboy is the libelous one.
Anyway, the Internet’s reaction to this whole thing was hilarious. Here’s what former Telegram and Gazette reporters Thomas Caywood, and Shaun Sutner had to say about it:
How butthurt are these losers? First of all Tom Caywood wrote this letter to his bosses at the Telegram in January of 2015:
I have been a reporter at the Telegram & Gazette since September 2007, during which time I have had one small pay raise. The cumulative impact of inflation over the last seven years of my employment has been to reduce the value of my annual earnings by nearly 14 percent. My vacation allotment was reduced from three weeks a year to two weeks by Halifax Media Group. Meanwhile, our benefits cost more and cover less than before the Halifax acquisition. The actual value of my compensation is lurching backward on all fronts.
Here were his demands:
I require is a 3 percent raise and restoration of my previous three-weeks-a-year vacation allotment. The meager raise would barely be noticeable to my finances, but it’s vital to me that I see some tangible evidence of this commitment to quality journalism of which you and GateHouse speak.
Guess what the Telegram did? They told him to beat it. No soup for you. Because the Telegram is a garbage, fake newspaper that would rather hire some young person like Samantha Allen who won’t whine about a raise for another ten years. Then they’ll replace her with a cheaper version and the cycle will continue. This is how newspapers function. Shaun Sutner resigned the year before that after the Telegram laid off 29 veteran employees.
Hey Tom and Shaun, you mad bro? You mad that you guys are losers that went into a dying industry and you both got shitcanned as a result of it? You mad that Turtleboy started a blog that’s more relevant then you’ll ever be? Your butthurt taste like bacon.
Oh, and it’s only a matter of time until your Sam Allen’s of the world are dumped for people like this:
LOL. “Professionals” such as a junior at Assumption College:
These are the only people who are allowed to tell you the news. They only write things that are completely true. Unless it involves a Facebook post. Then they’ll either ignore it or make a federal case out of it, depending on what can get them more page views. It’s fitting that her last name is Severance, because ten years from now when the Telegram has used her up that’s what they’re gonna offer her to leave quietly.
And look who got in on the action with Ol Man Gordy:
Oh look, more lies. She’ll fit in great at the Telegram. It’s just so funny watching these people get fired up about this. It’s like they’ve been waiting for so long for the Turtle to be taken down a notch and they’re dumb enough to believe that this is the man who is gonna do it:
You gotta be pretty naive to have ANY sort of faith in Gordon Davis taking down Turtleboy Sports. I mean, even the most butthurt turtle haters out there have to come to terms with the fact that they’re counting on this man to dethrone the turtle:
Keep the butthurt coming folks. All you’re doing is helping us find new turtle riders by the day.
