The YWCA Is Honoring Former State Senator Dianne Wilkerson, Who Went To Federal Prison For Stuffing Bribes In Her Bra

Dianne freaking Wilkerson is being honored by the Worcester YWCA, a taxpayer funded entity, for apparently being a black woman and “rising up.” Whatever that means. The YWCA has received over $100,000 in the last year from the city of Worcester via grant money:
They received over $2 million from the state:
They are yet another “non profit” that runs on your tax dollars and makes money by appealing to progressives who think they’re helping the poor, women, and minorities. And they are led by the usual suspects, as we will see.
If the name Dianne Wilkerson doesn’t ring a bell, then check out her Wikipedia page. The former State Senator from Boston is probably the most corrupt politician in our state’s history. She gave zero fucks about her blatant and open criminal activities while serving on Beacon Hill, and it culminated with a three year jail sentence, which she served in federal prison in Danbury – the same prison that Orange Is The New Black is based off of. She was released in 2013. Here’s some of her many criminal highlights:
- Wilkerson was sentenced to house arrest in December 1997 after pleading guilty to failing to pay $51,000 in federal income taxes in the early 1990s. She was suspended from practicing law for one year in 1999 because of the conviction and did not seek reinstatement.
- In 2001, she was fined $1,000 by the State Ethics Commission for failing to properly report that a bank she lobbied for as senator was paying her more than $20,000 a year as a consultant.
- In September 2005, the state Attorney General and head of the state’s campaign finance office filed a lawsuit against Wilkerson, alleging she had not reported nearly $27,000 in donations and refused to explain more than $18,000 in personal reimbursements. She agreed to pay a $10,000 fine and forego about $30,000 in debts owed her to settle the allegations.
- The state Office of the Bar Counsel filed a complaint on October 3, 2008, accusing Wilkerson of violating the rules of professional conduct by lying under oath at a 2005 court hearing at which her nephew, Jermaine Berry, requested a new trial on a manslaughter conviction. Wilkerson, who joined the bar in 1981 but has not practiced in a decade, gave “intentionally false, misleading, and deceptive testimony” at the Suffolk Superior Court hearing and in an affidavit, according to the eight-page petition for discipline. In both the court appearance and the affidavit, the complaint said, Wilkerson falsely claimed that she was present at a Boston police station when two homicide detectives interviewed another nephew, Isaac Wilkerson, about the 1994 stabbing death of Hazel Mack. Berry was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in Mack’s death, but the senator testified that Isaac Wilkerson made statements that implicated himself during the interview. Wilkerson also lied when she testified that the detectives repeatedly turned a tape recorder off and on during the interview, the disciplinary complaint said.
But of course her most infamous act of thievery happened in 2008 when she stuffed a bribe into her bra from an undercover FBI agent:
On October 28, 2008, Wilkerson was arrested by the FBI on public corruption charges. A federal criminal complaint was filed against her that alleges she was caught on tape stuffing a cash bribe into her bra and accepted those cash payments in exchange for her official duties and responsibilities.
Wilkerson was the subject of an 18-month-long undercover investigation conducted by the Boston Police Department and the FBI in which she allegedly accepted eight bribes in cash totaling $23,500. The payments, ranging in amounts from $500 to $10,000 were received from undercover law enforcement officers and a cooperating witness. The bribes were allegedly accepted in return for her help in obtaining a liquor license for a proposed nightclub and transferring public land to a federal agent posing as a private developer.
On April 7, 2009, a federal grand jury added 23 more counts of corruption against Wilkerson. It was alleged that she had been receiving bribes since 2002. On June 3, 2010 Wilkerson pleaded guilty to eight counts of attempted extortion.
And this woman is being honored by a taxpayer funded organization because she allegedly “dedicated her life” to helping women, the poor, and black people. The only people she helped more than that were the nightclub owners who got a liquor license because they stuffed cash in her bra. This is happening in real life.
It’s not really surprising that it’s happening at the YWCA though. Guess who serves as their “co-chairwoman of the Racial Justice Task Force.”
Oh look, Joyce McNickles. The same woman who read a poem she had written at the DOJ race discussions, entitled, “Dear White People”:
The same woman who thought it would be a good idea to marry this man:
She serves on the board of directors at the YWCA, and obviously approves of the disgraced criminal being treated like some sort of hero. This is not the first time Wilkerson has been honored since getting out of the can. In 2014 she was given an award from several former colleagues in the State House, who “honored her as an advocate and champion who fought for fair housing, safer communities, access to jobs, equitable health care, and same sex marriage.”
Translation – if you champion liberal causes in Massachusetts, you will be treated as a hero even if you commit federal crimes in the process.
The YWCA was also where these self-appointed “community leaders” like Joyce McNickles, Keesha LaTulippe and Brenda Jenkins held a press conference in March of 2015, in which they explicitly said that they would not allow police to patrol the halls of North High School after four vice principals were assaulted by students.
They also implied that the teachers at North High could not effectively teach their students because the teachers were too white. None of the women who spoke have kids in the Worcester Public Schools, and Joyce and Keesha LaTulippe do not live in Worcester. Of course they spoke anyway because just like Dianne Wilkerson, there is money to be made here. Joyce owns a company called McNickles and Associates, and Keesha owns Red Tab Consulting, both of which bilk the taxpayers by selling diversity trainings to public institutions.
Does this story sound familiar? Joyce and the YWCA are treating Dianne Wilkerson just like they’ve treated the Godfather herself, Mosaic CEO Brenda Jenkins. That’s because in April of 2015 the YWCA gave Brenda Jenkins an award for being Brenda Jenkins:
What Wilkerson and Brenda have in common, is that they both of these two got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Both of them are corrupt. The only difference is that Dianne Wilkerson got busted by the FBI and Brenda got busted by Turtleboy. But both of them have committed crimes. As a matter of fact, since this picture was taken in April, it just so happens to be the same month in which Brenda signed TONS of fraudulent time sheets for her own son, so that he could begin to pay back the thousands of dollars he owes in child support.
Brenda also cashes checks and receives awards from the YMCA. LOL. Don’t you see what’s going on here? These dingbats have a monopoly on grant money in Worcester. Mosaic was just a small piece of their portfolio. They own pretty much every non-profit and they cash checks from the city while giving awards to each other for fun.
Both Dianne Wilkerson and Brenda Jenkins have violated the public’s trust. They have been caught red handed and exposed as frauds and criminals. And both of them have been rewarded by the YWCA, simply for being black and female. The fact that they have committed crimes against the public is never mentioned though.
This is why we fight.
