You think we’ve got problems in Worcester? Wait until you cross the bridge and see what’s going on in Shrewsbury. It’s basically anarchy:
Savages!!! You’re telling me that you come to a stop sign and someone lets you turn left even though they CLEARLY have the right of way? This is madness. Utter Shrewsbury madness. Property value in that town just plummeted. No way I’m sending my kids to school with a bunch of people who have such total disregard for the rules of the road.
Honestly though, Turtleboy is guilty as charged. Let’s say you’re on the main road and you’re trying to turn left onto some side street. Some poor schmuck is trying to leave that side street by turning left onto the busy road. The problem is they have to navigate through two lanes of traffic, which often times can be difficult. So if I stop my car and let that person go, EVEN THOUGH I have the right of way, I am preventing the cars from in back of me from getting through and thus I am allowing this poor soul to turn left onto Main Street. I thought I was being polite. Little did I realize that I am in fact a terrorist.
Most importantly though I let these people turn left even though I have the right of way, not because I’m a nice guy, but because it makes life easier for me. If there’s a car coming out of the street I’m trying to turn onto then I have to make sure my turn is crisp and sharp. But if there’s no one there I can be lazy and cut that corner how I please.
Needless to say this conversation started heating up:
Seriously though, if someone stops to let you go and you don’t go, that’s just a dick move. Rules are meant to be broken. Lighten up Shrewsbury.
