Ever since I published I Am Turtleboy, I’ve been looking to do more public speaking like I did at the Statehouse last weekend.

And I’ve since been invited to speak at the Grand Opportunity USA fundraiser in Billerica on August 8. GOUSA is a conservative organization, but I like to think that the Turtleboy message of anti-censorship is something that people of all political creeds can support. It’s a good fit for me because one of GOUSA’s goals is to unite people of all political creeds who believe in liberty, free thinking, and free speech. Turtleboy has been at the forefront of big tech censorship, since we’re blacklisted by Twitter, Instagram, and Google AdSense, demonetized frequently by YouTube, and we’ve had over 40 Facebook pages unpublished or shadow banned in the last two years.

The theme of my speech is going to be wartime conservatives vs. peacetime conservatives. Peacetime conservatives are the morons on the right who sit back and let big tech take away their ability to speak publicly because, “muh free market.” A “free market” in which these companies have no competitors and hold a monopoly on speech on the Internet. These people have blindly followed traditional conservative lies that any government regulation is a bad thing. But what can the government do to me that big tech hasn’t done already? Peacetime conservatives all have one thing in common – they’ve never been censored. They are modern day Neville Chamberlain’s, and I have no use for them.

Wartime conservatives are people who understand that platform access is a civil right. They understand that Donald Trump is President largely because of his mastery of social media. They understand that people like AOC have mastered this as well, and want people who disagree with them to be banned from the platforms by calling everything they don’t agree with “hate speech.” They understand that the government works for the taxpayers, and they can pass legislation protecting our civil rights to use these platforms. They understand that “muh free market” is an outdated argument used to deny black people the right to eat at privately owned restaurants. Wartime conservatives don’t sit back and hope that big tech grants us the right to speak on their platforms, we demand access to them.

I plan on speaking for 15-20 minutes and answering questions from people there.
