Meet Mary Ellen Sikes from Weston.
As you can see from the fact that she likes Kirsten Gillibrand and Katherine Clark, she is absolutely dreadful to be around. And that dress, oh Lord, that dress. No words.
Mary Ellen is the face of everything that is wrong with Massachusetts and its politics. She is the Secretary for the Weston Democratic Town Committee; the party that claims to champion the poor, while living in the wealthiest of the 351 towns and cities in this state. Her name is Mary freaking Ellen, the only name whiter than Becky. She posts incessantly on her Facebook page about politics. I don’t care if you’re left or right leaning – anyone who constantly posts about politics on Facebook is an asshole. And the politicians she admires so much (Clark, Gillibrand, Hillary, Warren, etc) are all exactly like her – rich white women who feel morally superior to other white women by calling everyone they disagree with a racist.
She has also intentionally insulated herself in a town that systematically prices out people of color and has no section 8 housing, yet constantly accuses other people of being racist. Take for instance this recent video she posted on YouTube the other day in which she interrupted and interfered with a police traffic stop in which a car was about to be towed. She saw that the people driving the car were not white, so naturally she had to do what racist white women like her always do – pull out their white savior card. Watch.
Thanks God the white woman showed up to save the day. Please clap.
Snatch Rooster: “Do you feel like you were pulled over for a good reason?”
Person of Color: “My registration is coming up suspended.”
Has anyone ever felt like they were pulled over for a good reason? And your registration isn’t “coming up suspended,” it’s just plain suspended. Don’t drive an unregistered car and you won’t have this problem.
“I’m a Weston resident and I’ve had many people of color pulled over in Weston because they’ve had less than luxury cars and stuff like that. I’m very upset because I’ve had friends of color pulled over. I think Weston Police racially profile on a regular basis.”
Bitch, there isn’t a single person of color in all of your Facebook pics. None. I know because I went through all of them. This is the lifestyle you chose by living in Weston. You are the biggest racist on planet earth. See? Two can play that game.
“I can’t help but notice that these are people of color you’ve put the plate in for.”
Stop the fight! She can differentiate between white and non-white people! Thank God Raggy Maggie is going around harassing the cops every time she sees they’ve pulled a black person over. They need her!
She didn’t know what to say to this one.
Snatch Rooster: “Why is the reason you run the plates?”
Cop: “Because I run plates all day.”
Newsflash – this is what cops do all day every day. They sit there and run plates. If you have one behind you in traffic then chances are he’s running your plates. This is how they find assholes driving unregistered cars.
Loved this exchange.
Cop: “You see people who are African-American and you think they were stopped based on their color?”
Snatch Rooster: “Yes.”
Cop: “I’m sorry you live life that way.”
More perfect words were never spoken. Imagine being so immune to reality that you believed that black people were incapable of committing traffic violations? The only person who can possibly think that way is a racist white woman who has intentionally chosen to live far, far away from black and brown people.
Cop: “You’re interfering with a police investigation.”
Snatch Rooster: “What are you investigating?”
They’re investigating whatever the fuck they want to investigate. Now go back to your million dollar home and be the miserable housewife who drives her husband towards an affair with his secretary.
Snatch Rooster: “Did you let them search your car?”
Person of Color: “No they just said get out of the vehicle and they’re towing it….”
Snatch Rooster: “If they didn’t give you permission to search your car then they shouldn’t be searching your car.”
“If he didn’t have permission then he shouldn’t be doing that. Come on!”
“If they didn’t give you permission to do it then I don’t understand why you’re doing it.”
Holy shit. Imagine you lived life thinking these things? To actually believe that the cops don’t have a right to search your car when they pull you over is new level Beckyism.
“I’m unhappy that you ran the plates. Were they speeding?”
Bitch, it doesn’t matter if you’re happy! Don’t you get it? Nothing you think matters.
Snatch Rooster: “I’ve talked to the chief.”
Cop: “I know you have.”
Translation – everyone hates you.
“I don’t feel safer with you doing this.”
Again, no one gives a shit if you feel safer. But the fact of the matter is that communities are safer when cops run plates and arrest people who are breaking the law. They weren’t searching the vehicle looking for drugs either, they were taking inventory in case the owners tried to come back on them and say that something valuable was missing from the car after it got towed.
We need to keep calling people like Mary Ellen Sikes out for what they are – racist. If you think that black and brown people NEED you to help them, even when they’ve blatantly broken the law, then you have a patriarchal relationship with black and brown people. You view them as juvenile and incompetent, and they NEED your help as a white woman in order to get a fair deal. You do this because you know deep down inside that you chose to live in Weston instead of Brockton, because Weston doesn’t have any black people. Shame on you Mary Ellen, shame on you.
