As you know, Worcester is in the middle of a gang war right now during the world famous Worcester Summer of Love 2015. We only bring this up because we saw this post on the You’re Probably From Worcester if Facebook page
So we had to check it out, because as you know, we’re big fans of Worcester’s Youtube rap scene.
Wow. That was actually a pretty vicious brawl filmed in front of City Hall in broad daylight. Images like this will definitely encourage business investment in Worcester:
I guess my question is, what is Mosaic Cultural Complex doing to fix this? Because they have plenty of time to hold anti-police rallies at 41 Piedmont Street, but yet there mission is supposedly to help at-risk, inner-city men of color with hypertension. But what do you think is a bigger problem plaguing Worcester right now – high blood pressure or gangs? Clearly there is a lot of work that could be done by Mosaic to improve lives in the community. But they’re not doing it because they’re too busy hosting sewing classes and Joyce McNickles hate speech.
Look, Turtleboy is all for fixing Worcester. We want nothing more than to make this city a better place to live in. And personally, I don’t mind having my tax dollars go to social programs as long as they do some good in the community. I would gladly hand over my hard earned money to Mosaic if they found some of the young men in these videos and helped them find jobs and develop skills that would make gang life less appealing.

As for the video, it’s a genre thing. What I find strange is the scarcity of attractive women in it. Oh wait, it was filmed in Worcester. That’s why.
Worcester actually was a major hub of innovation, industry and wealth creation, and before that was at the forefront of the American Revolution..
Now, not so much, unless you count PC policing and wannabe gangsters fighting over $25. Compare those ragamuffins to Raymond Patriarca, the most powerful mafioso in the history of New England and one of the most powerful and wealthy mobsters in the Unired a States, birthed in Worcester.
Quite right! Also, on the Revolutionary War topic, has anyone wondered by there was never a real, major historic battle between the British and the Revolutionaries? The Worcester Armory (in front of the VA Shelter) held all of the firearms for the MA Bay area and the British wouldn’t come near it. Worcester is one major reason the war was won. Also, Jordan Knight from NKOTB was born in Worcester, the man who played Carmine “Big Ragu” Ragusa (Laverne & Shirley) went to Burncoat and graduated from there in ’72 or ’73. The first toll road was developed right on Lake Quinsigamond. Rice Square was the first major setlement that was not killed off or run off by Indians.
Worcester has a lot of history, famous people botn here, and a lot of interesting information, you just need to know where to look. Quinsigamond offers a “History of Worcester” class. Try taking it. You could learn something.

That video is about a year old. Oh how I miss the summer of love ’14! While this summer is setting records for shootings, it’s not producing nearly as many quality rap videos. If you think that video was bad there are about 50 more out there that will put this to shame. YouTube “fresh cadets”, “big boss Boogz”, or “wells tk”. Enjoy!

This 4 minutes is the most disturbing thing I’ve seen in quite a while… How is it that TB can find this but our WPD Gang Unit can’t? Is this truly what Worcester has become? Don’t the politicians wonder why the good, strong families are fleeing- oh that’s right, they don’t wonder because they don’t care!!! My husband and I are we’re both raised here, work here and thought we made a good decision to raise our family here- this (along with much more) makes me question our decision.
