There’s never a slow day down here in Brockton. We’ve got some real winners that I’d say could go toe to toe with Worcester’s dooshnozzle brigade any day of the week. Today’s winner of the week is Carla Darosa, a local mother of a 15 year old student at Brockton High School. Apparently her honors student didn’t like that her teacher took 10 points off of her project for passing it in late, so Carla did the only thing a Brockton momma can do – forced her way into the school, tried to kick the shit out of the teacher and got taken out by the school in hand cuffs by the cops (yes, we have school cops in Brockton since over 4,200 kids go to the high school).
Brockton Enterprise: Carla Darosa wept in court Thursday as she was placed in handcuffs and taken away to be locked up on bail as her 15-year-old daughter looked on crying. Darosa, 35, of Brockton was arraigned Thursday on charges that she assaulted and threatened a teacher at Brockton High School, over what police said was an issue with her daughter’s homework assignment. She pleaded not guilty and was ordered held on $3,000 bail.
Officials said Darosa went to the main entrance of Brockton High about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and checked in, saying she wanted to speak with Green Housemaster Andrew Donovan, Brockton Public Schools spokeswoman Michele Bolton said. Instead of waiting for a front desk attendant to arrange an appointment, Darosa stormed off to a classroom full of students and confronted a female teacher because she thought her sophomore daughter was being treated unfairly, officials said. She is accused of trying to barge into the classroom and hitting the teacher with the door as the teacher held the door shut and called the office for help, court records show.
“I’ll (expletive) you up!” she yelled while trying to get into the classroom, court records show.
Yup. That seems about right. Pretty much the mentality of almost every antagonist who has ever appeared on Turtleboy Sports. They feel entitled to something, therefore rules, laws, and protocol don’t apply to them. Her daughter told her a one-sided, unconfirmed story about a teacher she obviously doesn’t like, therefore it’s true and Mom has no choice but to leave her non existent job and fight the teacher.
Darosa said the incident is not being portrayed by school officials accurately.
“I never threatened the teacher,” Darosa told The Enterprise Thursday. “I’m having my name dragged through the mud.”
Right. Sure thing Carla. The fact that 20 witnesses all confirm the same story and there’s video surveillance of her storming the Bastille doesn’t matter. It’s all a setup to drag this woman, who already has an extensive criminal record, through the mud.
Darosa said she got a text from her daughter Wednesday saying she was upset that her English teacher was talking about her to other students and in the past had made fun of her appearance to the class.
“My daughter gets straight As. … It wasn’t over her taking points off a project,” Darosa said. “It was over a teacher calling my daughter names like Ratatouille and mentally abusing my daughter.”
Stop right there. Why is this girl texting her mother during class? See, this needs to end right now. This is a serious privacy issue that teachers and other students can be recorded like this. Maybe this girl does get straight A’s. Our sources tell us she’s the class president of the sophomore class. So why is she breaking the school rules to text her obviously mentally unstable mother to get her fired up at her teacher? Obviously the teacher didn’t really call this girl names. Because in real life teachers don’t make fun of students. If they do then everyone else in class hears it and the teacher gets disciplined.
Sure Mom could have scheduled a meeting with the teacher to hear her side of the story, but that would require being patient and reasonable. Carla wanted satisfaction NOW!!! Rules don’t apply to angry mothers. Everyone knows that.
After receiving the text message from her daughter, she went to the school and said she asked to speak with Donovan and the teacher. She said she did not trespass at the school.
Oh yea, no trespassing here. Just wandering around a place that she doesn’t permission to wander around in. Oh wait, that’s the definition of trespassing.
“I got there. There was a young girl at the front desk. She takes my driver’s license and she looks up my daughter in the computer. I said, ‘I’m here because I need to speak with the teacher and the Housemaster.’ She called someone and said I need to make an appointment,” Darosa said. “I said I need to take care of this today. Then the girl told me, ‘You can go ahead, but just tell them I said stop so I don’t get in trouble.’ “
Yea, that’s what happened. Sure thing Carla. The secretary decided to risk her career so your crazy ass could wander around the school picking fights with teachers. Stick with that story.
Darosa then went into the school and said she was asked by a man in a suit who worked at the school if she needed help. She said the man showed her where the teacher’s classroom was.
“I wasn’t trespassing. They let me in,” Darosa said.
LOL. This story keeps getting better!!! Not only did a secretary wink and ignore the rules for her, but some sort of administrator then asked her if she needed help wandering around the school and guided her directly to the teacher’s room so she could confront her DURING class!! Stuff like that happens all the time in public schools in 2016.
Darosa said she knocked on the classroom door and the teacher came out and said she didn’t have time to deal with the situation at the time because she was teaching a class. She said she remained calm during the incident and walked down the stairs, where she was confronted by Brockton School Police and placed under arrest.
So let me get this straight. She couldn’t wait for a meeting because she HAD to see the teacher right then and there. So she gets to the teachers room, who tells her she can’t talk because she’s too busy doing the job the taxpayer’s pay her to do, and she accepts this answer and tries to leave the building? Gee whiz, for a woman who seemed determined not to take no for an answer, she sure took no for an answer pretty quickly there!!
“She tells me she was out in the hall the whole time,” Darosa’s attorney John Doherty said in court. “Did she speak loudly? Yes. Did she ask for [the teacher] to come into the hall to address her concerning what she’s been telling her young daughter loudly? Yes. At no time did she use the language that the State said she used.”
Well if she said that’s what happened, then I’m sure it’s true. No one has ever lied to their court appointed lawyer before.
Darosa has had 10 warrants issued for her in the past and has had multiple cases continued without a finding, including a 2013 case out of Stoughton where she was accused violating a harassment order, officials said.
She’s had 10 warrants issued for her in the past? Mind blown!!! Here I was thinking she was some sort of upstanding citizen. Those all must have been misunderstandings too.
Anyway, obviously this woman is lying, but the bigger issue here is security. How the hell can this happen in 2016? Did we all forget about Sandy Hook? How can someone just barge into a school like this so easily? This isn’t Newtown CT either, it’s Brockton. There is no shortage of guns in Brockton.
Speaking of Newtown, this week a teacher in Newtown was arrested for having a gun on him during school. I am not a gun owner, but that seems pretty insane to me. Ya know, because he works in a school district where a teacher with a gun could’ve prevented a bunch of little kids from being massacred.
Anyway, let’s check out what the townsfolk are saying on the Brockton Hub’s Facebook page:
Yea, those professionals with Master’s degrees need to be put in their place by 15 year olds and their savage parents. They be out control yo!!!
Great point Marisa. People should be able to wander around the halls of public schools confronting teachers based on unconfirmed, one-sided stories from teenagers. What could possibly go wrong?
Yea, why are we all blaming the crazy lady with 10 warrants out for her arrest who tried to fight a teacher and was taken out in handcuffs? The teacher may or may not have called the girl Ratatouille. Maybe. And that would obviously justify this type of behavior.
Oh look, it’s the Brockton version of WANDA!!!
True that yo!!! Gotta protect your daughter’s feelings at all costs. Feelings matter. Almost as much as spelling and grammar.
Good God!! “Mama bear don’t play that.” That’s the most Brockton thing I’ve ever heard. Coming from a woman who proudly brags about cussing out superintendents and getting “real ignorant over her seed.” This is the type of parent that teachers in Brockton have to deal with on a daily basis. God bless them. They should all get raises.
My girl Vicki Vida Jackson is a real great role model of a mother too:
All my Mom taught me how to do was play the piano. Guess I was missing out. Too bad I don’t have a mother like this:
No, teachers don’t need to “give respect to get respect.” Teachers show respect for students by being there every day, teaching them, correcting their tests, and offering help. In return kids need to do as they are told. That’s it. End of discussion.
Oh yea, and if you’re still holding a grudge against your high school English teacher for “talking shit”, then you’re probably a huge asshole. Hey Inez, instead of getting so worked up about this, why don’t you take your own advice:
The teacher next door also chimed in:
Oh look, an eye witness account from a professional. Notice he’s the only one on this thread who can put a complete sentence together without making a reference to a wild animal.
Ding, ding, ding!!! There you have it folks. It took longer than expected but finally someone busted out the race card!!!
Yea, you don’t blame her because just like her, you are more than likely a degenerate lowlife who is responsible for the downfall of American society.
Then for some reason the daughter started chiming in while her mother sits in a jail cell:
LOL. Awesome kid right there. Real great example for her peers. Sad thing is she’s been taught that it is in fact appropriate to barge into a school and try to fight a teacher because your kid made up a lie about them. Oh I’m sorry, “protect her kids.” That’s what she was doing.
What a lovely young lady. Mom “could care less about what the teacher had to say” because her daughter told her the only version that mattered. This kid is the real problem here. She knows her Mom is batshit insane, and she still texted her during class, knowing full well she’d be let off her leash and try to fight her teacher. Society is so fucked.
Why would anyone want to be a teacher in 2016? God bless if you do, because we need teachers. But look at what these kids are saying. These teachers work in a tough, tough environment, and this is the thanks they get from the ungrateful little turdlingers. The kids get mad when the teacher is disappointed in them for failing. They go out of their way to find a way to make everything the teacher says “disrespectful.” Who has the time or patience for this?
Here’s the least surprising thing we saw from the girl:
Mom didn’t go to parent teacher conferences. Shocking.
Anyway, the next time someone whines about the “School to prison pipeline” just bring up this story. Because this is why we need cops in schools, and why teachers continue to be the most under-appreciated people on earth.
