According to some who have read our recent blogs Holyoke High School, Turtleboy should not have written about what happened because the kids should be given a chance to learn, instead of publicly humiliating them:

First of all, Holyoke is shaped like a penis that’s making it’s way into the meat wallet of Northampton:

Screen Shot 2016-04-04 at 2.34.32 PM

    That’s just a fact.

Secondly, the problem is that this girl’s speech was approved by the school, and at least one of her teachers is actively condoning what she did on social media.

This is Holyoke High School English teacher Mary Brazeau:

She apparently is the English teacher of the Holyoke High School student who delivered some good ol fahsioned racist slam poetry directed towards her white peers at the school sanctioned Puerto Rican heritage assembly.

Any responsible adult would tell this girl at the very least that her poetry was not appropriate, particularly in a school setting. It’s also filled to the brim with historical inaccuracies and lies about her own alleged “oppression” (making less money than a black woman).

Not Mary Brazeau though. She wants to teach this kind of poetry in the curriculum for HHS:

    Mishie is all about it:

Ya got that? Her English teacher not only condones what she said, but wants to use it in class as a model for others. She wants racism to become part of the school curriculum, which would make it required reading. Guess Mary agrees that her cooking is indeed flavorless. That’s one way to check your privilege.

They plan on meeting up during homeroom this week to discuss how they’re going to do this:

This is hardly new behavior for Mrs. Brazeau. The day after the election Mary posted this on her Facebook page:

Like they’re all dying or something. First of all, the vast majority of your Spanish speaking students are Puerto Rican. That makes them American citizens, which makes any fear of deportation as a result of Trump’s election a fear that is completely baseless. A responsible adult would make that distinction. A fear-mongering SJW trying to spread propaganda would ask that people pray for her students, as if they were all just diagnosed with cancer.

According to her, all of her students of color are worried:

And. She. Used. Periods. Like. This. So. You. Know. She. Means. Business.

A responsible adult in this situation would once again tell any student of color who is worried about this that it doesn’t really matter. It’s not going to affect their day to day lives, and they shouldn’t let it distract them from focusing on their goals in life and in school. Right wingers survived Obama. Left wingers will survive Trump. We’re all gonna be OK.

Another teacher tried to explain how to speak to students to let them understand why it’s gonna be OK, but she wasn’t trying to hear that:

She’s teaching kids that they have “moral obligations to advocate.” But she doesn’t mean advocating for ANY political opinion you have. Just the right ones. If a student were a conservative she certainly would not tell them that they have a moral obligation to advocate since in her mind what they believe in is inherently immoral.

This is only Mary Brazeau’s third year at Holyoke High School, as she was hired at the beginning of the 2015 school year. She was the first of many hires by the State Department of Education, since they took over the school district due to years of the only thing that matters to the useless suits at the DOE – low MCAS scores. Obviously the biggest need for a poverty-laden district like Holyoke, which has disproportional amounts of ESL and special needs students, is funding. Not just throw money at them either. I’m talking funding for things that students, teachers, and parents actually advocate for. For years the DOE has neglected these schools and expected teachers to perform miracles by delivering improved test scores. When that didn’t happen they blamed the teachers and administrators instead of themselves.

This is why HHS has taken a turn for the SJW – the state has an agenda. They want teachers like Mary Brazeau in there. According to many parents the school has become significantly divided along racial lines since the state takeover:

Others have seen this coming for a while:

Meanwhile the girl is being led to believe that she’s some sort of Maya Angelou now, and is going to use her poem as part of her college admissions essay:

Which is actually a good idea because college campuses are just havens for fringe lunatics looking to push this particular agenda.

Mishie also is celebrating her new found fame as a racist:

Yea, it’s actually up to 16,000 now. Guess where they all came from? Turtleboy. And most people reading this actually think you’re a troubled, angry, and misguided young woman who has been brainwashed with hate by terrible people.

Anyway, here’s the contact information for the DOE board. Feel free to contact to let them know what you think about their latest hire.

I have a Holyoke poem for ya.

Jack and Jill went up the hill both with a buck and a quarter.
Jill came down with two fifty that dirty little whore.

Pray for her students…? I thought these people didn’t believe in religion

This is a, in large part, plagiarized poem. There is a poet in Holyoke who makes the rounds at open mic nights. I’ve heard this poem several times and it was written in regards to Native Americans after the author read extensively about their plight. I believe it is even published and recorded somewhere. I will look further into the comparisons and get back to TBS.

The teacher was just happy to get a student to turn in ANY work, plagiarized or not.

I grew up in Holyoke. I lived on Northeast Street in apartment 5A. I went to Mary Immaculate, Kelly school and then Lynch Jr. High for 7th grade. My family moved at the end of my 7th grade year. When we went to school at Kelly, race didn’t matter. But there was a split, kids that wore polos were preppies and then the rest of us. I didn’t understand the difference, those kids lived in the highland and we lived in the flats. There was difference. At Lynch the white kids hung with white kids and Puerto Ricans hung out with Puerto Ricans. There was a huge divide and it didn’t matter where you lived once you went to Jr. High. Race has always been a problem in Holyoke.

i went to Hokyoke public schools my whole life and yes, whites hung w whites and puerto ricans with puerto ricans but there was NEVER hard feelings between the two groups. This is all caused by the new idiots in power who keep pointing out differences and in particular these out of towners who come in and CAUSE the divide. Main problems?
        Alex Morse
        Nelson Roman
        Josdie Valentin
        Rebecca Lisi
        And now this assholle teacher.

what about the teacher talking to students through social media? isn’t that probably against some sort of school/state policy for obvious reasons

      1. Stacy

We often talk to students through social media. We have double accounts. This gives us a way to connect on their level.
