Just like we predicted in our last place bracket, Oklahoma and Villanova will meet in the Final Four. Unfortunately West Virginia and Seton Hall lost on the first day so our bracket has long been fucked. But the Nova-Kansas game tonight was fantastic. But right on cue morons on social media are bitching and whining about this foul call on Kansas’ Davonte Graham:

I understand the refs suck sometimes, but you can’t complain for the sake of complaining every single game. That was 150% the correct call and anyone who disagrees played with dolls growing up. I don’t give a shit that he “hustled.” You’re not allowed to take another player out simply because you are trying your best.

What are these people smoking? That was a GREAT call, especially considering how fast it happened. Nova made the CLEAN steal by getting their hands on the ball and knocking it away from Graham
Then Josh Hart literally stood in a stationary position as Grahahm, who just lost control of the ball, recklessly dove at his legs like a kamikaze pilot:
Yea, you can’t do that. There’s no slidetackling in basketball. It’s called a player control foul and it’s obviously a good call. Josh Hart was clearly touching the ball and had just as much as a right to it as Graham, but then he got slidetackled and taken out by the knees. You can’t do that in a basketball game. Anyone who doesn’t understand that is either looking for something to complain about or likes Nickelback.
Then later someone said this to us after Ryan Arcidiacono stole the ball to basically ice the game:

This is what actually happened:
Clearly, that is NOT a foul. A player who dives at another player and takes them out by the knees is not equivalent to a player who cleanly steals the ball from another. Pretty simple concept to understand.
Anyway, Easter’s games are gonna suck. Zero percent chance North Carolina and Virginia don’t win. It’s gonna be an awesome Final Four though. Gun to my head I say Nova vs. UNC and the Tar Heels win. Greatest time of the year. Madness.

As a coach, that’s the kind of play you encourage from all of your players. I would tell a player, espesicslly at the youth level, not to worry about the foul, as it’s probably a 1 out of 50 call. Keep it up and have at it.
Graham was playing how the game of basketball has always been played and should always be played. Loose ball on the court, you dive for it. You get rewarded for that. Hart doesn’t get rewarded for standing there and doing nothing.
Bringing up dolls is a classic Donald Trump tactic. Don’t have a decent argument? Start with petty name calling and ridiculous statements. This was a terrible call. Plain and simple.
Nice headline. “Doesn’t think it wasn’t” ? Isn’t that the same as saying “Thinks it was” which is the exact opposite of the point you are making?

“Contact that is incidental to an effort by an opponent to reach a loose ball, or contact that results when opponents are in equally favorable positions to perform normal defensive or offensive movement, should be permitted even though the contact may be severe or excessive.”
Yea he is wrong, that was a blown call. Anybody who watches basketball more then one month a year would know this.
