Editor’s Note: This blog has been updated. There is a Lakeside Ave in Clinton, as well as Worcester. The Turtlegram did not initially indicate which of the two the arrested individual lives in, but it can be assumed it was Clinton at this point.
Turtlegram: A 24-year-old Clinton man was stabbed to death during a fight outside a Main Street bar late Saturday night. Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said two other men were also injured in the incident. The deceased, whose name is not being released pending notification of next of kin, was taken to Clinton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The two other victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the district attorney said in a news release. The fight occurred shortly after 11 p.m. outside Scooby’s bar at 675 Main St., according to the district attorney. The bar was closed Sunday evening and crime scene tape was draped around the parking lot, where a pickup truck and two other vehicles sat. The stabbings are under investigation by state police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office and Clinton police. Police arrested Christopher Jose Rolon of 42 Lakeside Ave. on Sunday and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Clinton police log. Paul Jarvey, a spokesman for the district attorney, would not say whether the arrest was related to the fight.
