Of course this was a foregone conclusion, and had Judge John Payne bothered to read Jeffrey’s after David he would’ve realized that it did not justify a hearing.
Why should I, a law abiding citizen and award winning journalist, have to spend nearly an entire day driving 3 hours round trip to Springfield, sit in a courtroom, and listen to this lunatic ramble about how he lost his job as a direct result of his own predatory actions? As Judge Mulcahy (who somehow presided over this) pointed out in his decision, everything I wrote was constitutionally protected speech, and that I am not responsible for messages and comments made by non-related parties. Jeffrey never even accused me of threatening or harassing him directly in his application.
I received that letter from Judge Mulcahy on Friday. Then on Monday I received this.
I have another hearing over the exact same matter, signed off on by the same judge, but also signed off on by Clerk Magistrate John S. Gay, a Northampton Deval Patrick appointee.
He gets paid over $110K a year to do this job, and couldn’t be bothered to look up Jeffrey’s name and find out that I was in this exact same courtroom last week.
Why do our courts allow this to happen? Why do predators like Jeffrey McAdam get to present themselves as victims when they are the aggressors? Why do judges in this state allow their courtrooms to be turned into circuses? Are these serious places of law and order? Why should anyone respect a system like this?
I will be attempting to do this virtually or get it cancelled. If not I will be filing a counter claim against Jeffrey, since this in and of itself is a costly form of harassment. In MA to get a harrasment order you need 3 events that
– were willful and malicious, this means it was done on purpose and was done for cruelty, *hostility* or revenge
– aimed at you
– were intended to cause fear , intimidation, abuse… abuse means causing or attempting to cause physical harm, or *causing fear of imminent harm*.
– and *did in fact cause you fear*.
